'Don't Flirt' by Winner

Mingyu the colorblind virgin guides Wonwoo the librarian's assistant

* * *

The clock was about to hit 10 p.m. sharp when Mingyu found himself staring at the ground beneath his feet. The shock and fear from yesterday's incident had left him a bit traumatized.

"Mingyu, don't go blaming yourself for everything. It wasn't completely your fault, now was it?"

He death-glared Jihoon before his menacing gaze turned soft.

"Actually, yes. Yes, it was mostly my fault. I wanted answers, and well... that's exactly what I got, hyung. How can I not blame myself? I... I..."
"You what? Insulted him on a subject you were literally not given information on?"

Mingyu slammed his head on the table, groaning at the other's words.

"Mingyu, trust me when I say that you're not the first to make that mistake. I kinda... actually did the exact same thing when I first applied as vice assistant."

He sat at full attention.

"But how? You've never made assumptions, hyung."
"And now you know exactly why, child. I make horrible assumptions."
"It couldn't have been that bad. You still got hired, didn't you?"
"L-let's just say I have my ways. Which reminds me," Jihoon leaned in close to Mingyu's ear, "Go get 'em, tiger."
"What do you-"

Again?!

Then, Mingyu felt a small, almost nonexistent, tap on his right shoulder. Still, on edge, he hastily turned, fully expecting to see a snickering Jihoon.

But instead, a fidgety Wonwoo stood next to him.

Now or never.

"I'm-"
"I apologize-"

Wait for what?

"-for having behaved inappropriately. It wasn't professional of me to let my personal feelings get in the way of work, and so I, lead assistant to the librarian in charge of Sebunteen Library, wish to make it up to you, a fellow reader, in whichever way possible."

Mingyu, obviously flustered, quickly stood up, almost falling down as he instinctively bowed, apologizing while he was at it.

"N-no. Listen, I- umm... How do I say this? Wonwoo, I-ah understand why you acted the way you did. I was invading your privacy. Your behavior was something natural. I shouldn't even be standing here; I should be in jail."
"But all you did was break into my office."
"Exactly."

Wonwoo demonstrated a conflicted expression as he stared at the younger.

"I'm not letting an unemployed teen tell me what to do."
"Un-unemployed?! For your information, I am 21 and have a fun job, unlike someone who just sits around all day reading words."
"It's called literature. And in case you didn't know, I don't go around apologizing to everyone. I pushed my dignity away tell you this, and yet you neglect me! If you're planning on having me beg, then dream on."

Wonwoo crossed his arms, puffing out his cheeks and successfully pouted.

However, he felt the embarrassment hit him and tried to replace it with his usual stoic expression.

There was a strange contrast of gray etched on his cheeks and ears as he looked away before awkwardly clearing his throat.

"You... umm... you're having a... problem down there, aren't you?"

Mingyu hadn't realized it immediately, but he had been aroused by the other's actions. He let out a small, almost strangled scream as he sprinted to the restroom.

And although he didn't hear it then or now, Wonwoo was giggling while twirling the keys, momentarily pulling his mask off as he went to turn off the lights.

While Mingyu exited the soundproof room, he noticed the librarian's assistant was still here.

"You waited for me?"
"If I could, I would've just locked you in here."
"Then why didn't you do that?"
"I can't get back home alone."
"Why?"

He wanted to slap himself.

"N-nevermind. So... umm... Where do you live?"

He held the large, wooden door open, lightly flicking on the blind's forehead when he didn't move.

"You piece of-"

Mingyu's eyes widened at the whispered sentence. He hadn't heard the rest of it, but he could guess the rest.

"Not far from here, but since the owner decided to make some interior changes..."

Mingyu loudly blushed as he felt the older wrap his arms around his left as he continued speaking.

Was this normal?!

He didn't exactly know when, but a little after passing by the park, he started to stare at Wonwoo's lips, enchanted at how they moved in an elegance stance.

"-Minghao usually closes, but I guess he saw us. Take a left when 120 appears and keep going forward until-oh! That reminds me-"

Wonwoo's grip slightly tightened as Mingyu got ahead of him, changing leaders of the route.

"-I never got your name."
"It's Mingyu. Kim Mingyu."
"Well, thanks for helping me out, Mingyu."

Mingyu glanced at the artificial plants across the hallway as Wonwoo grabbed his keys. He squinted in disgust at the dull yet bright color.

Green...

Wonwoo's getting a little touchy and human with Mingyu all of a sudden. Has he perhaps grown used to the virgin, or is it all perhaps a trap?

We're already halfway through this book, and I'm finally starting to get sad. I want to try and finish this one first then Freestyle, but I fear updates it gradually become a lot slower...
