Different morning, same routine for the next two days. He got up and freshened himself, found his eyes drifting before he caught himself, threw on a suitable outfit for work and left into the cool air of the Wednesday morning.
This morning though, he decided not to plug his earphones in. It wasn't too loud and the sun for once wasn't bearing down on his head. He took in his scenery as he passed them; the old man that's been selling fruits on the corner since he moved in, the bakery that emitted the sweet fumes of freshly baked buns and three stores down from there was a-
"Oooh, a pet store." Jimin mumbled to himself, the feeling of excitement flooding through his body at the thought of getting a pet. He hasn't felt this excited in a while but before he could get one he had to make sure that his apartment allowed it. He didn't know what he was gonna choose though, a cat or a dog or maybe even a bunny.
A bunny...his chest was starting to hurt again. He gave his head a gentle shake and continued on his way.
"Jimin-ah! Good morning!" The old woman yelled as usual when he entered. He tiredly grinned at her and did his usual routine of changing into his work uniform.
He walked back to the front and headed straight for the old woman as she waved him over.
"Everything okay gran?"
"Yeah, I was just telling you that I won't be in tomorrow." She stated a little too loudly so he stepped back. "But, my grandson is coming in for me."
"I thought your grandson was working?"
"He took the week off."
"Oh okay." He stopped the conversation there because he knew that if he didn't, she would go into one of her many rants of her workaholic grandson. Workaholic indeed so it was surprising that he took time off but a nice guy nevertheless he could tell from the handful of times he met the guy.
She turned to deal with the customer that came up to the desk and he went to stack the thriller section that was quickly selling out. Seems like people around this area preferred thriller books over romance and everything else.
He wasn't much of a fan of thriller but more of a mystery person. He didn't know how long he worked for but all he heard was a yell in his ear and he was swinging around with one of the books in his hand, hitting the person across the head.
Kim Taehyung.
"Ouch!" He clutched the side of his head with one hand and clutched a paper bag with the other.
Instead of apologizing like the saint he should be, he doubled over in laughter at the pout that was on the younger males face. It deepened when he saw Jimin laughing. His laughter escalated into wheezing and Taehyung took to slapping Jimin on the arm until he calmed down from laughing. It felt good to laugh that hard again.
He sobered up and wiped at his eyes as Taehyung help out the paper bag to him.
"What is this?" He gently took it from his hands and opened it to see a deli sandwich and packed into a clear container next to it was the Fettuccine Alredo he'd grown to love. "Um, thank you...but why?"
The other male grinned. "Because you didn't come for lunch so I decided to come over myself."
"Oh, well, thank you so much." He returned the smile.
"Where are you going to eat?" He glanced around the store, probably looking for a spot to sit.
"Well, I'm not supposed to eat here but I'm too loved to be scolded so let's go to the seats in the back."
