"A-are you sure I'm-... this isn't a burden..?"

The two were in Namjoon's living room. After much persuasion, Jin finally gave into letting the other help him out until he can get back on his feet. Though he excepted the offer, he still felt guilty.

"I'm positive, you can stay here as long as you need. I don't mind helping out at all." Namjoon promised as he fixed one of the pillows on the couch and finally sitting down as well.

There was something about this man's voice that the younger couldn't get enough of. It feels so genuine- so genuinely kind and welcoming.

Seokjin has never heard something he liked quite that much.

"Really you don't need to do all this- I can probably figure out something or somewhere else to go.." The guilt was eating away at the vulnerable boy.

It wasn't his fault, he was always told that he was a burden. So much so that he grew to believe it.

"But I want to, this big empty house needs to be put to some use," he smiled, "It's okay to need help."

Jin almost didn't want to reply, he just wanted Namjoon to continue talking. For once the smile Seokjin was receiving seemed real and reassuring.

"So, lets get to know each other!" The older announced, shaking Jin out of his slight daze. He looked to the big grinned man across the couch.

"I'll start, as you know my name's Namjoon, Kim Namjoon haha. I'm 20 and I just finished college since I graduated high school early and went to university right after." He explained, a smile still never leaving his face.

At this point Seokjin thought this man was perfect. He's handsome, smart, and kind, you don't see that in a guy everyday.

Jin just quietly looked at- more like admired Namjoon and the other just smiled back, patiently waiting for a reply.

"O-oh uhm, w-well I'm Kim Seokjin, but Jin is fine. Im 18 and I just finished high school. I really like light colors, oh and hoodies, but only if they're big on me- they're most comfortable that way. I really like BigBang, and Daesung is my bias-"

Soft but deep chuckles broke out in the room, causing Jin to break the consistent stair he had on his sleeve as he rambled, and look up at the other male.

Instead of an annoyed look he was expecting from Namjoon, he was only greeted with a fond smile.

The other had his chin rested on his hand, just looking kindly and intently at Jin, like he wanted to hear more.

He liked the way the younger looked with he talked about himself. He seemed actually happy.

Seokjin's cheeks immediately flushed red when he realized how long he'd been talking about himself.

"Ah s-sorry you probably didn't need to know all that.." he mumbled.

"Huh? No no continue," Namjoon encouraged, his eyes almost sparkling as he watched the smaller boy play with his hoodie sleeves once again.

"U-um okay.."

After about an hour of talking, the two knew a lot more about each other. Nothing super personal, just basics, and of course some weird fun facts (most shared by Seokjin.)

"Haha yea, Rapmon's really something. I wish I could have him here, but he's with my parents right now," Namjoon explained. They somehow got to the topic of pets.

As the older went on about his current and past dogs, Jin just sat, criss cross applesauce style, listening intently to the man with eyes full of wonder.

Jin giggled quietly as Namjoon talked. Animals were always the younger's soft spot. (As if he wasn't soft enough)

"My parents never let me-." His words came to a stop as he remembered. His parents.

He didn't know what would happen with his parents. They kicked him out, he can't go back.

He subconsciously became quiet, proceeding to look down at his lap once again, seemingly lost in his thoughts.

Seokjin couldn't stop thinking about his mom and dad. He felt like blaming himself for getting kicked out. If he would've jus-

He felt a warm hand being placed over his before he could think anymore. It felt really fucking good if he was being honest.

My heart clenched as Jin look up at me with red eyes a few tears in his waterline. I was now sat right next to him, my hand over his smaller one.

As he looked at me longer, for some reason he started to cry more, and before I could react he threw his arms around me.

I was slightly shocked at first as he seemed very nervous and timid, but he hugged me as if he really needed. I of course hugged back, rubbing is back and providing as much comfort as possible.

I could hear him wailing into my shoulder as his small figure lightly shook. "shh its okay," I reassured, petting his messy light brown hair.

Though I just met this boy, I already feel like I need to protect him. He reminds me of myself, like he just needs someone to care for him.

It feels like im the only person he has left- his last hope even, he wouldn't be this vulnerable if i wasn't. It hurts my heart to think someone this beautiful could be hurt so deeply.

We stayed like this for a while until he calmed down and his breathing was steady. He pulled away and looked up at me.

His bangs covered his eyebrows slightly. He wiped his eyes with his over sized sleeve that made him look so small.

"Can you tell me why you're crying Jin?"
