I finished putting on my lipstick and headed downstairs. I was dressed in a pair of light washed out skinny jeans and a rosy pink top, and I matched it with a pair of black simple flats. I know, not exactly party like but it was casual.

Taking my car keys, I headed out the door and towards my black Honda and rode it towards Kelsy's house. Tonight was going to be the best party ever, and I couldn't wait. It was the perfect thing to take my mind off what had happened yesterday.

Besides, today was the last day of our Junior year and I had no intentions of spending it alone in my room with Ben and Jerry's and watching reruns of Teen Wolf...Not that I had done that last year or anything.

I quickly texted Kesly that I was at her house and told her to come. While I waited I went on my Instagram and checked my newsfeed, until Kelsy came down. We drove over to the address Ryan had sent to me this morning.

Even a few blocks down to where the party actually was I could hear the music.

When we got there I actually realized why everyone was so psyched about Ryan's party. His lake house was not a lake house. Indeed it was a lake mansion. White marble walls covered the house and the front lawn was covered in beautiful flowers of all different shapes and colours. Beyond the house, I could see the sparkling water and the beach before it.

"Ready?" Kelsy asked. I nodded my head and we went into the house(the door was open, we didn't barge I swear).

There was barely any room to walk, just as we entered. Teenagers were packed in the living room doing different things one does at such parties, which I would rather not explain. As soon as we made our way in, Ryan spotted us and approached us.

"Autumn! So glad you could come!" he greeted.

"Thanks for inviting me Ryan. This is Kelsy," I said introducing my best friend to him. They shook hands and greeted each other. He than turned to another couple of his guests.

"If you were a burger, you'de be a McGorgeous," a random guy winked approaching us. The line was so ridiculously stupid and dumb I couldn't help but laugh.

"Don't mind him, he's had a bit too much," another guy said walking up to us. He had broad smile on his face.

We shook our heads in a laugh as the guy(that just uttered the worst pick up line ever) trudged away. Retard.

"Adam," the other guy said extending his hand towards Kelsy with a smile. But of course we both knew that, he's Adam Lyte. William Wright's best friend. Kelsy shook his hand and introduced the both of us to him. They then both zoned out to a conversation(and may I add flirting) so I just sneaked out of the circle and went outside the house. I continued to stroll towards the beach. A couple of people were outside and there was things set up for a bon fire but it obviously hadn't started yet.

I kicked off my shoes and walked along the shore. There was a light breeze making the night seem a bit romantic. As I made my down the beach, I got further and further away from the people and towards a part of the beach that was deserted. Before I could wander around anymore I spotted another figure by the beach.

It looked like a girl, cause I could spot her hair flowing in the breeze. I also saw her making some hand gestures. She kept throwing her hands in he air in front of her. She was also concentrating on the sea in front of her.

I quickly looked to where she was looking and my whole body tensed up. Water was floating above the sea. And when I say floating, I really mean it. It kept changing into different shapes. At first it was heart, than an arrow of water shot through it and the heart shattered; and water splashed everywhere. It's as if...the girl was controlling the water.

I gasped and took one step back, and as clumsy as I am, I fell. This time however I felt the impact but I was on sand. The girl seemed to hear that there was someone else present. The next thing I knew, she was by my side giving me a hand. Blonde curly hair, bright blue eyes. She seemed pretty nice.

"How much of that did you see?" she snapped as soon as I was fully standing. So much for being nice.

"What do you mean?" I asked playing innocent.

"Look don't act dumb. Just forget it, no one would believe you anyway," she snapped again. She turned away on her heels and stormed off.

"Wait! Don't go! I just have a question, please!" I begged.

She didn't even turn her head around. She just continued to walk away, her hair flowing wildly in the wind. I stood up and chased after her, but she was way ahead of me.

"Look, something like that...what you did. It happened to me yesterday, I just wanna know whats going on!" I begged again. This time I was practically screaming though. I just wanted to make sure she heard me.

This seemed to catch her full attention. She snapped her head around,"what kind of things?"

"I...I fell the other day but when I did, I was kind of caught like one inch before completly touching the ground. I didn't feel any pain, and then the same thing happened with a beaker in my Chemistry class. It fell but didn't break, it was like floating in midair," I spilled out. If she could do the water thing then maybe she knew about this.

"Did anything else happen? Anything like that?" she asked. She was already halfway back to where I was standing.

"Yeah, the locker. It closed by itself..." I said whispering the last parts. I couldn't believe I had just said those words. The locker had closed by itself? What was I gonna hear next? Harry Potter was based on a true story?

"Oh em gee! Wait what did Evan say I have to say? Oh yeah! Look go home to your parents and say this: Scio donatus sum. I'm sure you can remember that. We all can. Now hurry, registration starts tomorrow!" she said. Her eyes were sparkling as if she were excited. What?

"Register for what? And what does that even mean?" I asked not understanding a word she had just said. Why did I need to talk with my parents about this?

"I can't answer your first question but to answer your second question; it's latin for I know I am gifted."
