Sangwoo's POV - 6:32 am
I clutched the handbrake back it screeching as I did. A muscle twitched involuntarily at the corner of my right eye, my mouth formed a rigid frown. With arms folded tightly across my broad chest, I tapped my foot furiously and all the while I stared out of the grimy car window into the dark parking lot. My heart pounded in my chest. Short quick snappy unstable breaths left my mouth.
Maybe this is not such a great idea after all? What- If I get caught? I anxiously nibbled against my index finger. Can I really do this? I looked at the lit up building. My mind was filled with -- so many different thoughts. I want to help. Yet It might hurt me either way. I groaned banging my head against the chair again and again. I filled my cheeks with air, breathing out and closing my eyes. I opened my eyes again. My lips starting to quiver.
Why- am I so afraid?
I questioned myself. My entire body was overridden by fear. Fear to finally- follow what was right. Fear to finally. Let my mind free. I looked back out of the steamy raindrop covered window out to the building. That would change my future- depending on how I did it. My eyes wandered towards the back seat of the car grabbing a crumpled up piece of paper. I looked at it.
' If you can't find the people. Follow the dusty trail, follow the east steps. Do you need the passcodes when you have a hammer? Go towards the eerie mask. Or don't- '
My eyebrows stiffened and my lips pouted at the edgy note that I had left. I balled it up in my hands again. Before unrolling it. I groaned. My hand reached over to a dust mask and a pair of deeply tinted glasses. I pulled down the car mirror looking at myself in it.
"Here goes now or nothing right?" Those words left my mouth. My hand gripped the handle pushing it open. The rain patted against my hair, I held the piece of paper so tight in my hand I could feel my hand pulsing. I looked back at the car once more. Then towards the large building. The- police station. The doors gasped as they opened automatically. My shoes scuffed against the doormat.
Lights as bright as the sun were dimmed. I cautiously walked towards the desk. Looking down at the floor. My hand was down against the desk and the next thing I knew I was walking back to my car. Without the note.
As I got outside I sped to my car. I hastily opened the door throwing off my glasses. Them cluttering into another seat. The door bashed shut as I hit my head off the back of the seat with a big huff. Tingles and fear were sent around my entire body.
Why am I so afraid to do the right thing?
I switched the keys in the car engine. The car slowly starting up. I pulled out- of the carpark driving off. The headlights of the car lit up the road.

"Dad, you're home?" Hanjoon peered at me taking out his headphones. "Where have you been all night- again?"
"Just out with some friends- where's your Mum?"
"She's at physiotherapy for her new prosthetics." He sighed putting one headphone back in his ear. "I've been here alone."
"Sorry kid- I'll try to stay home more okay?" I went over to him and ruffled his hair. "What time did your Mum say she was coming back?"
"The company said they'll bring her back at 9- " He frowned. "Why does life have to be so unfair to Mum?" He walked over to me snuggling into my side.
