Y/N's POV

Pounding, your heart couldn't decide what it wanted to feel. It had been like this for a while, not being able to differentiate between the feeling of pain or happiness. So much has changed, so much. It's almost overwhelming the amount that has been going on. Life has always brought difficulties. Along with moments where you could just feel free. Some things scar you, and some things light up your face with a smile whenever you think about them. But what I always remembered was to, through anything that happened. Just remember the happiest moments. Yes, it can make you sadder, but at least there is something to cling onto in your darkest times.

You watched as people walked in and out of the room as you lay on the bed. Watching them clear things in your room.

"Well done in your recovery!" Han-Won looked over to you from the side of the bed. Bowing slightly. Your eyes flickered up as you sat up.

"Thank you. It wouldn't have been the same without you DR." You smiled, it felt refreshing to smile so genuinely. You took a deep breath, letting your shoulders drop. "I'm just glad."

"Mhm, you'd also be glad to know the other girls are okay. They're all in good conditions." He flipped through a clipboard that had suddenly came to your attention. "Was it her who was your roommate?" He held up a photo.

You nodded, "How is she doing?" You looked up at him. People were still walking around the room, going in and out as always.

"Good. Her approximate dismissal date is the 23rd." He said, flipping the last page of the clipboard over the top and pacing it wherever. "So it'll be good to know you will both be back before Christmas." He took a pause before continuing. "You said that Taehyung will be picking you up correct?"

You gulped, nodding my head." Hopefully, it turns out all okay. I'm very nervous to see him after all of his."

"Mmm," he mumbled. "I don't blame you."

There were a few knocks at the door. "Ready for dismissal Miss L/N?" You looked at the lady at the door and then at Han-Won.

"I-" You clutched the bed sheets. "Yes. Yes I am,". You stood up cautiously as Han-Won grabbed your shoulders.

"Please be careful, I don't ever want to see you here again got it?" His brows arched as he said in a deeply serious tone.

"Yes, Sir." You giggled, as he smiled. "Thank you. Really I'm great-full."

"It's fine, I'm happy that you're recovered. You're such a strong person remember that okay? The police will interview you in a few weeks. Probably in the new year."

"Let's go now Y/N." The nurse said in a low tone. Looking rushed and impatient.

You went on my toes to give Han-Won a hug. He squeezed you tight. "Bye, kid." He patted your head, moving out the way so that you could grab your stuff and leave. You scanned the room once more, looking for anything that you had forgotten. Clear. Your fingers wrapped around your bag handle full of gifts and cards. You walked through the doors. Looking at the busy hallways. Fresh air started to fill your lungs as you got to the door. You spotted Taehyung standing there. You bowed to the nurse before running off to Taehyung.

Time stopped. At the moment, everything felt unreal. It. Felt nice, to finally be free. So many emotions were coursing through your brains. This is it. This is your freedom. Right in front of you. And, it's all over. The pain and torment. It's really over, as you got closer to Taehyung it looked like he was holding flowers.

"Y/N!" He had the biggest smile on his face. Opening his arms, you ran into his arms. Him cradling you. "You're here. You're really here, in my arms." He choked on his words hugging you close. "I- I'm so glad you're okay." He pulled away looking at you. "You look so beautiful."
