By the time Waverly calms down and gets to the kitchen, Alexa is getting ready to leave.
"Hey, did you finish that project?" Alexa asks her.
Waverly looks at Willow, who mouths 'Go with it'.
"Uh, yeah. Sorry I was gone so long."
Alexa hugs Waverly. "Oh, it's no problem. I'll be coming around whenever I don't have too much homework. Anything to get away from the roommate... I'll try to call first so I don't miss you guys."
Relief settles into Willow. Maybe they can find a way to tell Alexa about 'Jake' without panicking both of them.
"Well, I'm gonna head out. Tell the rest of The Group I say hello." Alexa hugs Willow and Cameron. "I'll see you guys later."
"Bye Alexa!"
"See you later!," Willow smiles.
Cameron Waves. "Be safe!"
Then Alexa's gone.
"So did Jake get settled in?" Willow asks her sister.
"I found him a room. Joseph gave him some pajamas for the evening, but we'll have to go get him some clothes..."
Cameron asks a question that is on all of their minds: "So, do we have to discuss how to handle this now?"
Willow nods solemnly. "Dr. Toher's office?"
Waverly and Cameron nod, and the three of them head to the office for the second time today. Cameron shuts the door.
"Did he mention anything while you showed him around?" Willow asks Waverly.
She shakes her head, and tells her sister and boyfriend that Jake doesn't really know much about the fire.
"Did he tell you anything else?" Cameron sits in the chair at Dr. Toher's desk. He takes off his bracelet with the moonstone-a symbol of his mastership as an Air elemental. He studies it, remembering how similar it is to Keegan's.
Waverly sits on the black leather couch, next to Willow. "Just that he'd only been at the shelter today and yesterday, and he says he's from Boston."
Willow laughs. "We don't even know where we're from, and we never lost our memory."
Waverly nods. Her sister is right. Throughout their childhood with their parents, they moved a lot. Waverly and Willow were too young to remember where they first lived, considering they were only five when their parents died.
"Do you think he remembers anything?" Cameron asks, completely focused on his bracelet.
Waverly shrugs. "He doesn't seem to recognize the house, Willow, you, or myself. I'm not even sure if he knows what an elemental is..."
"How are we going to explain the 'no parents' thing? After all, he's the oldest one in the house now," Cameron notes.
"How are we going to explain anything to him?" Willow asks. Waverly notices how drained her sister looks. Her green eyes seem dark and tired, and she's slouching into the couch, making Waverly think she'll fall asleep any second.
"You mean, explain...everything?" Cameron asks. He looks at the two sisters nervously. Waverly has never seen him so serious. Usually she relies on him to crack a smile for everyone's sake, but tonight he seems devastated and drained.
"Like his past? His identity?" Waverly asks.
Willow considers telling Jake everything. Like how his real name is Keegan Lurwick, and how he died five years ago... The fact that she and Waverly are his sisters.
