This chapter is less than a thousand words, so I will try to update by the weekend. Hope you enjoy!

Ariana's POV
''I'm gonna send a flood, Gonna drown them out, Oh, This is me.'' I finished my performance and looked over to the people on the panel. I had been working up to this audition for ages, The Royal Academy of Music and Performing Arts had been my dream since I was five years old. I had been watching a talent competition and the winner had attended the academy, ever since then it has been my goal. It was either that or a career in history, but singing was my outlet. It made me feel free, as if nothing was wrong in the world. I could lose myself in the lyrics, and if it was musical theatre, I could become the character.
The men and women had their heads together, discussing something. One woman looked over to me with an appraising glint in her eyes. I stared right back at her, I wasn't one to shy away out of embarrassment, no matter what the situation or who the person was. After a few seconds of this I noted a pleased gleam in her dark eyes. What? Most people were annoyed when my stubbornness started to push its way to the surface. Her colleagues turned back towards me and the spokesman opened his mouth to speak, his face unreadable.
''Thank you Miss Willcombe, you will receive either an acceptance or rejection letter within the next two weeks.'' He told me in a monotonous tone. I wonder how many times he has had to say that?
''Thank you Sir.'' I replied quickly. I collected my music and hurried from the room.
Once I got outside I took a deep breath and walked over to my mint coloured Fiat 500, letting 'Any dream will do' by Sir Andrew Lloyd-Webber flow through my speakers. My step-mother always scoffed at my choice of car. It wasn't flashy enough for the woman who owned a Ferrari, Range Rover and a Lamborghini. I got into my small vehicle and left for home. When I got back I bee-lined straight for my room. I dumped my bag on my Hogwarts duvet cover and collapsed onto my bed.
I soon heard a knock at my door to the tune of We Will Rock You by Queen, that meant it was Holly at the door. All my friends and I had our own personal knock patterns. For Holly and I it was We Will Rock You, for Toby and I it was Break Free by Queen, and for Gemma and I it was Somebody To Love by, you guessed it, Queen. If you haven't realised it yet, we all bonded and became friends through our love for the band. I didn't bother going to open the door, as I knew she wouldn't wait for me. And as expected, the door was flung open half a second later to reveal one of my best, but my craziest, friend.
''ARIANA WILLCOMBE I HAVE BEEN CALLING YOU FOR THE PAST THIRTY MINUTES. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!???'' Forever the drama queen. I tried to get a chance to speak, but once that girl got going there was no stopping her, so I did the only thing I could think of. I walked over to my window and shouted, ''OH MY GOD, IS THAT ZAC EFRON?'' It worked like a charm. Holly stopped mid-sentence and ran over to the window whilst I backed up to my bed, trying my best not to collapse into fits of laughter. Zac Efron was my friends' greatest weakness/ celebrity crush. Once she had scanned the street several times she turned to me, her eyes narrowed. I immediately sobered up and backed away from her.
''I'm sorry Holls, I shouldn't have used him against you. I'm really, really, sorry.'' I said cautiously. Then she did something I should have expected. She burst out laughing.
''You...s-should have...s-seen...your...f-face.'' She said through the tears rolling down her face because of her hysterical laughter.
''Oh hardy-har-har.'' I replied sarcastically. I really should have seen that coming, after all, I've pulled that trick several times myself. ''Anyway, why did you want to talk to me?''
She immediately sobered up and an excited expression covered her face. ''Oh yeah. You'll never guess what the palace announced today!'' She paused, obviously waiting for me to reciprocate her feelings of excitement, but to be honest, the royal family were interesting and all that, but they definitely weren't a topic I would keep up with. I motioned for her to continue.
''They said that the prince's fiancé is of age! There is going to be a royal wedding by the end of the year!''
