So I have been feeling inspired recently and have just been writing non-stop over the past couple of days (I probably should have been revising :(  ).

Ariana POV

Later on that day my friends and I were still celebrating, the buzz by just getting the acceptance was incredible, I had no idea what it would be like when I actually joined the school. We had decided to have a day of just listening and singing along to our favourite Queen songs. We were in the middle of listening to the absolute masterpiece that is Bohemian Rhapsody for the fifth time when my step-sister came barging into the room and stormed over to me.

''How dare you? How could you? You don't even care about them?!'' What the hell? That girl had to get out of my face.

''What are you talking about?'' I kept my voice neutral, if I didn't, I knew I would say something that would land me in a load of trouble.

''So you're a dumb bitch as well as stupid?'' How dense could a person be? They mean the same freaking thing.

''I'm not even going to dignify that with a response, Lucy.'' I gave up on trying not to roll my eyes, it was a pointless task anyway.

She was about to continue but was cut of abruptly by my step-mother.

''Lucy go to your room'' She said sharply, but Lucy didn't budge. She was probably stunned that she had just been told off by her precious mother. ''Now Lucy.'' Lucy turned around in a fashion that any teen high school movie villain would be proud of and stomped her way up to her bedroom.

My friends and I turned to Lucia with faces that, with no doubt, looked as if they had been slapped.

''Ariana, your father and I need to talk to you later.'' She told me, stone faced.

I could only nod in response. Had my step-mother just done something, nice for me? Someone cleared their throat behind me and I turned around to see Holly and Toby with the same incredulous expressions that I knew graced my face.

''Ummmm, I think we should probably make our way home.'' Holly said hesitantly, obviously still shocked at what had just happened. Toby quickly agreed, and they hastily collected their things and left the house.

Half an hour later I was just finishing clearing up the mess of diet coke cans and sweet packets when my dad walked through the front door. I felt a grin creep onto my face when I saw him, he had been working late a lot recently, so it was a very pleasant surprise to see him home at barely five o'clock in the evening.

''Hi dad! What are you doing home so early?'' I asked, flinging my arms around his neck as I did so.

''Hi Ari. Your step-mother said she had something urgent to tell me, so I decided to make my way home straight away. Are your siblings around anywhere?'' My brow creased at this. Was it about what she wanted to tell me?

''Julia is staying at a friend's house, Max and Hansen are in the gym downstairs and Lucy is in her bedroom as far as I know. And I'm pretty sure that Lucia is in your room.'' I told him, waving my hands in the general direction of the stairs.

''Thanks sparky.'' He said ruffling my waist length hair. I rolled my eyes at the nickname. He had called me that ever since I was four when I apparently got so excited for fireworks night that I begged for the 'pretty and loud lights' for six months before the fifth of November!

He made his way up the staircase and I plopped myself back onto a sofa in the living room, deciding to watch a bit of Once Upon A Time before I had to face Lucia again. Though just as I got to one of my favourite parts with Mr Gold and Belle, I heard yelling and steps thundering down the stairs, then they headed towards the living room. My dad came in, completely red faced and absolutely fuming.
