Clementine's P.O.V

The morning has arrived. The bleak, brisk dawn rising upon us all. The sun rising overhead Ericssons. We are all positioned in the yard, me and Louis side by side, Louis holding onto Abel by a long-ish rope and ductaped. Ruby handing me my backpack. I think she put some cooked deer that me and Louis hunted yesterday. I give her an admiring look, I swing my bag over my shoulders.
Ruby looking at me distressed, I come closer.

"Ruby, I promise we will bring them back". I say reassuringly.

She gives me half a smile. Shutting her eyes tight, looking down, I notice a tear falling down her cheek.

"Please make sure Aasim is okay".
She whimpers.

God, poor Ruby. She seemed so regretfully for pushing him away that day in Truth or Dare.
I wish we hadn't pushed it too far.

"He really likes you Ruby".
I smile at her warmly.

"I know". Breathing out, smiling to herself.

I hug her tightly, then hugging onto Willy, not lasting as long. But just enough. He was a good kid at heart.

Tenn comes out from behind Ruby and Willy.

Turning his frown upside down he hugs me affectionately.

"Be safe okay". I murmure above him in a warm embrace.

I then see Aj in the distance, arms crossed, looking mournful. He is crying.
I turn to Louis, he gazes at me, turning his head towards Aj to talk with him again before we leave, I feel someone bump into me hard. I gasp. Aj wraps his little arms around my hips. I kneel, hugging onto him ever so tightly, he begins to sob in my arms.

Oh Aj.

"Shuuu" "Be brave my little goofball". "Be brave for me".
I wail.

"You have to come back". "If you can't save them don't take the risk"-

"Whoa there kiddo, we're bringing them back".
"Just stay near Ruby", she'll protect you".

I feel Louis's arms around both of us. We all hug. This was perfection. Pure Perfection.
They were my reason now. My two boys. Our loving embrace lasting minutes but feeling only like a few seconds, I stand up, Louis still kneeling at Aj's level.

"We will be back soon little dude, you know I've got Clem's back at all times". He says winking at him, Louis as always managing to crack a little smile out of Aj, Louis holds both his hands.

Grabbing Abel. I take my bow from the ground, we both head towards the main gates.

"Ready"? Louis asks.
