Chapter 1

( Nancy P.O.V)
Name is Nancy, some people call me Nance. I was bored and raised in Busan, being the oldest of my family makes it very difficult for me. Especially when my parents aren't really in the picture. I have a younger brother, his name is Vernon. Being the one who have to find money constantly is hard, I've worked 3 jobs all at once just to pay my parents debt off.. Vernon you ask? Haha, he doesn't do nothing much besides school, sleep, and party.

Being 22 is hard, never would I imagine taking care of a 19 year old would be so difficult. You maybe wondering why my parents aren't in the picture.. you see, my parents are in debt.. a lot.. my parents abandoned me and my brother when I was 13 and he was 10.

There's really nothing much to say besides, my parents were never really in my life.. I don't even know how they look like. Anyways, every now and then these loan sharks always find their way back of finding me and my brother. It haven't been easy on both our ends but.. again, I have to take care of it.

So, now you know a little about me. Ahh.. if you want to know my biggest fear.. it's being too attached, because every time I become attached.. I get left alone.

" Where are your parents?" A man grabbed Nancy face pinning her against the brick wall. Nancy shut her eyes tight with her lips squeeze tight together.

" I ask you a question damn it!" The man shouted at Nancy. Nancy opened her eyes facing towards the man.

" I don't know" Nancy commented out with a monotone voice. The man let out a chuckle, he released Nancy face. Tapping Nancy face with his hand and shaking his finger in front of her face.

" If you ever meet your parents again.. tell them they're dead to me." The man commented as he spat on the floor with his hands on his waist and walks away.

Nancy watched the car drive off onto the busy street. Nancy touched the corner of her lips where she felt pain, she notice blood coming from the corner of her lips. Nancy broke into tears, picking up her bag that was on the ground and walk out from the alley into the broad daylight.

Nancy walked into her workplace with her head hung low. The only thing that was running through Nancy brain was trying to find money to pay the next debt.

" Nance?" A girl voice echoed in the background snapping Nancy back into reality. Nancy looked up, seeing her best friend Haejin. Nancy let out a small faked smile. Haejin walked over and took a seat next to her. Haejin placed her hand on the back of Nancy back and faced her.

" Whats wrong?" Haejin asked holding onto Nancy hand. Nancy just shook her head quietly.

" Come on, tell me what's wrong.. I'm your best friend.. you can tell me anything" Haejin said looking at Nancy

Nancy finally looked and let out a small sigh " I met the loan sharks on my way to work." Nancy said. Haejin grip became loose.

" Did they say anything to you?" Haejin asked while giving Nancy a worried look. Nancy couldn't tell her friend what happened so she just shook her head.

" Nancy is you.." before Haejin can finish her sentence Nancy cut her off

" Stop! Don't pity me and don't give me the voice! I don't need it right now" Nancy commented, storming off to the back of the cafe.

Haejin stood there in confusion, Haejin didn't understand what would cause her to be angry at her.

Nancy closed the changing room door and leaned against it, Nancy tears started rolling down her face.. all these emotions, she didn't know what she could do anymore.

" why does this have to happen to me" she commented as she lean against the door with tears streaming down her face!
