It has been one week since Anna had seen the wild mustangs along the nature trail that runs through the forest. Over the last few days she has seen more and more horse hoof prints, but has not yet seen or heard anything. So today Anna decides that she will leave her house with her bag packet with books, a pencil case, an apple, banana and a sandwich for lunch she will leave at 7:30am. As she proudly kisses her mum on the cheek and wished her a good day, she departs the white timber walled house with a slate tiled roof and heads towards the path among the woods.

Anna is slightly distracted by the butterflies that flap theirs beautiful wings of all colours; blue, pink white and yellow but she convinces herself to keep walking, and as she does, she sees something large moving In the corner of her eye. She quickly but quietly and cautiously spins to see what it is and standing to her very side is the horse she had pictured in her mind all week. He was just as she had remembered. The rest of the herd stood alert and worried waiting for the command of their leader to let them flee, running far away from her. She was a danger, a threat to them they had not seen her often and they were unaware of what her actions were going to be. She was also wondering what their actions would be. Would they flee? Would they fight or charge at Anna? Or would they let her pass by peacefully? But to her surprise the stallion, the leader of them all stood strong and tall sending a sign that he would respect her if she did the same, but also showing her that he was not afraid and he was not going to back down out of a fight.

Anna was amazed by the fact that the stallion had just stood there and did not react he just stood tall and stern. Although the time that Anna spent looking at the wild horses and playing with the cheerful butterflies she arrive almost 15 minutes late to class. Her teacher, Mrs Hepburn called the principal to come and discuss her behaviour and disrespect towards the schools regulations because she had been late to school the week before. As Mr Brindle walked down the long dark corridor towards her, he was wearing a Grey suit with a green and black striped tie. He was not the most creative and bubbly person that Anna had met but there was nothing she could do to fix that. Once Mr brindle reached the end of the narrow hallway he asked her in a firm voice "why it is that lately is it you, miss Kelly, that Is turning up late to Mrs Hepburn's class? It is not appreciated and It will not happen again, got it!? you will not be late again", she replied with a quivering voice again "yes, Mr Brindle. sorry sir" Anna's voice still shaken.

Anna had now been yelled at for attending school late and told that she was not to do it again but now she was even more upset then ever before. how would she ever see the majestic wild mustangs that roamed freely ever again.

Anna was thinking about it app night as she lay in her horse costed bed she dreamed about seeing those amazing horses again, but then the idea occurred to her that tomorrow was Saturday, so she would just have to wake up early and go visit them. She had decided she was to wake up at 8:00am get dressed in some old farm clothes and quickly go down to the path she walked along on her way to school.
