I sat next to you on the bus
On the outside of the seat
You knew I was afraid to sit there
But when you offered to switch, I declined
"I get off before you anyways," I said
The bus pulled out
And I clung to the seat in front of me
"Let me help you out," you said
As you wrapped your arm around me
I couldn't help but laugh
"Slick."
You nodded, smiling your big, beautiful smile
You had no idea just how sarcastic I'd been
And that made me laugh harder
