Dorito X Nope (Discord Saga: The Queendom Part 1)

Part 1 - Midnight Snack

[A new conversation has just initiated]
Users: Dorito and Elena

Dorito, unsure of how to start the conversation, just chose to go with the usual greeting he uses on all of his friends.

Dorito: "Hey there somebody."

Elena: "Umm, hey. What's up Dorito? Been a long time since we've seen you in the discord."

Dorito: "Nothing much really, just trying to get this assignment done; and yeah, its good to hear from you too. How's everyone?"

Elena: "Everyone's doing ok I guess? I just got done talking with Vic who's looking for a place to stay."

Dorito: "Woah, what happened to him?"
Elena: "What I heard from him is that his old place is going to be completely renovated following some code violations on the property, so for the moment, he and his GF have nowhere to go."

Dorito: "Oh. You mean the psycho that keeps taking him away because we're a 'bad influence'."

Elena: "Yeah, its a bit silly but he has to be there for her so I understand. Anyway, what kind of assignment are you working on?"

Dorito: "It's something I have to do for English class. Basically, I have to come up with a short story and line up a set timeline of events to get to the conclusion. Protagonist and Antagonist. Aspirations. Generic happy ending. You get the idea.

Elena: "Need any help? I'm sort of into writing for papers for speech class, so this shouldn't be any harder."

Dorito: "No offense, but I was sort of hoping Apollo to be on since he has a talent for this stuff on the fly. I swear he's like a god or something."

Elena: "That's kind of insulting Dorito. C'mon, give me a chance to prove myself senpai. 😉"

Dorito: "Woah don't make this any awkward than it is. I haven't been online in a while.

Elena: "Pweeeeeeeeze"
Dorito: "Ok. Fine. I mean it does have to be done asap so why not?"

Elena: "Great, but to move this thing a bit faster I want to ask a favor."

Dorito: "What's up?"

Elena: "Could we. . . . .voice chat in the discord? I'm in kind of a lazy mood tonight. I think it'll save time if we could get our ideas out in real time."

Dorito: "Umm. How about just typing instead? I barely know you enough to get to hear my voice."

Elena: "@Doritofan I wouldn't be suggesting it if there was an easier way for you to get on "A" this assignment."

Dorito: "Sigh. Promise you won't laugh.

Elena: "You know I wouldn't do that to you Dorito. We're friends,
right? We stick together as a family

Dorito: "Sure let's do it."

He jumped into the voice chat and waited for Erica to arrive in. It was a couple of months since he heard the voices of anyone in the chat. The outside world wasn't as gracious to his needs at the Queendom family. There were people who underestimated his skills to integrate his thoughts into his programming; now he was unsure what he was doing asking for help from someone he barely knew.

There she was. The connection was a bit garbled at first because of connections but it cleared up after a few minutes of conversation. It only took a soft, nervous hello to make his heart skip a beat a little. He responded back almost instantly with a response and their conversation turned from just minor conversation to lengthy paragraphs about the characters in the story. Without them knowing the had created an entire universe for these people to live.
