Accidental First Love ~A NovaHD fanfiction

Chapter 2

I sit at my computer checking the comment section on my most recent video. Some of the comments talk about the attempted robbery at the Colorado bank. Most of them are asking if everyone is alright. I feel sudden shocks of fear strike me. The thoughts of the gun pressed to my head. The masked man throwing me to the ground. The scream of fear from the lady behind the counter. I lean foreward my head in my hands as the memories hit me hard. I feel tears stream from my eyes. It's all too real.

A knock erupts on my door and i break from my current memories. The fears still alive, But i slipped away from my thoughts.

"Hey Aleks! You in there?" Jordan's voice comes through the door.

"Yes, I am." I say just loud enough for Jordan to hear. I hear the door open slowly, I hear Jordan's footsteps approach me and his hand touching my shoulder.

"Hey, you okay?" He asks carefully, his eyes are staring at my wrapped up wounded leg. He kindly looks back at my face.

"N-No. I can't do this right now..." I pause my words. "I just can't."

"Calm down, okay?" Jordan's face is showing how worried he is. "Those bad men won't be able to hurt you again."

"I had a gun pressed to my head, Jordan." That's all i manage to say. I hear him sigh.

"Creature Talk will be starting soon, join us if you want." He walks out and closes the door. I sigh. I should go join to get this incidence out of my head. I stand up slowly grabbing my crutches and i get myself out my office door. I see James just down the hallway peeking around the corner.

"James, What are you looking at?" Dan says from around the corner behind James. 

"I see him." James says in a weird voice. I let myself laugh. I bring myself closer to him. 

"Hello James." I say as i approach him.

"Oh, you were looking at Aleks." Dan just kinda laughs. I loop the corner looking at Dan.

"Is the creature talk preshow going on?" I ask slowly. Dan just nods. I feel James come up behind me. "Holy shit! James, don't do that!" I partially yell.

"Time for us to enter." Dan says calmly.

We enter one by one. I get in and sit down in my chair slowly, i read the chat as they begin to ask what happened to me. Most of the questions were trying to figure out what had happened. My back brace wasn't visable currently.

"Aleks, all of the current questions in the chat are about your leg. Are you comfortable sharing?" Jordan asks slowly. He is trying to be kind about it.

"I'll just share it anyway. Most people on my channel were asking about it anyway." I reply to Jordan. My voice shaking a little, but it's not that noticable on the stream.

"Go ahead and share." Jordan tells me.

"I was in the bank that was robbed." I pause for a moment then continue, "I had a bullet graze my leg." I finish off with so then i don't have to say anymore.

James' eyes trail over to me. He just waits for more, but i shake my head a little not wanting to say more.

"Aleks, there are people watching that are going to pray for your recovery. Is there anything else that is wrong?" Da asks.

"No, nothing else." I reply slowly, making sure it is clear.

"I'll be driving him where he needs to go since he can't get there himself." James mentions with a smile.

We finish creature talk a little earlier because my injuries were hurting badly.

"James?" I ask when the others have left the stream room.

"yeah?" He ask slowly and sweetly.

"Why were you looking at me when i explained what happened?" I ask him back.

"Well, you didn't share all of it. But that wasn't all of it. I don't want to talk about why." James replies to my question as he stands up. I stand up after him pulling my crutches to me. James trips over me and he knocks me over on my back, his lips accidently landing on mine. I feel his knee hit my wound. He gets off of me quickly and i look at him. "I'm so sorry."

"I-It's f-fine." I hold up my hand to get help to stand up. He lifts me up and gets my crutches for me. "T-Thank you." I get out of the stream room and head to my office.

I get into my office sitting in my chair. I pull up Twitter. Most of the current tweets are about my leg. I start a new tweet.
"Guys, don't worry. I'll be fine, I just need rest."
I tweet it leaning back with a sigh.

A knock bursts on my door.

"Aleks?" It's James.

"Yes?" I reply to his call with a questioning tone.

"We are going home for the night. Finish up with your current work." James replies.

"Alright!" I call closing up Twitter and shutting down my computer. I stand up and make my way out my door.

"Hello Aleks." James says as we head towards the exit.

"Hello." I say as we exit the office. I smile a little glad he is helping me. We head to the elevator getting in after it dings and opens.

"It's time to get home and relax." James sighs leaning against the elevator wall.

I can't help but to notice how exhausted he is. He has to take care of me. I'm scared I'll over exhaust him. Oh well, let's just hope i can heal quickly. I respect my best friend, But i have a stronger feeling for him right now after that fall. He also shows more protection over me and it makes me feel safe from anymore harm. I don't know how much longer i can keep my feelings to myself. Let's just hope i can.
