~Y/n's POV~
"Ugh! Why does it have to be so damn cold today?" I groan as I wake up and immediately wrap the blankets around my shoulders. The cold is not a good mix with my quirk, since it already makes me cold. I sighed and shivered, my footsteps of ice following me around because of how cold I was. I had to take a brush and break the small ice footprints around my room, rubbing my arms with my hands to try to heat myself up at least a little bit.
"Hey dad? Do you know what the temperature is supposed to be like?" I call down my hallway as I brush through my (h/c) hair. I couldn't see my breath anymore, which is good, but I was still freezing. Ice quirks don't help with that situation...
"Uh, yeah, it's supposed to be about 45 degrees (Fahrenheit)," he called back, and I groaned audibly. I grabbed my thick black tights and slipped them on under the required uniform skirt, putting on my uniform shirt and oversized UA hoodie on top of that. I felt a little warmer after that, which was nice. I went downstairs and ate a plate of fruit and eggs in silence, my father having gone into his office to work for the police from home. My mom's never been home, I haven't seen her since I was barely two years old. I don't miss the woman.
"Oh, shit! Alright, bye dad, love you!" I caught sight of the clock and saw I had to be out the door two minutes ago. I slid along the floor in my tights, slipped on my sneakers, grabbed my backpack and house key, and walked out without sticking around to listen to my father's response.
I walked as fast as I could through the halls of UA to class 1-B, since I didn't make it into 1-A. Oomph.
"I'm sorry! I didn't see you there!" I held out a hand to the teen that I bumped into and knocked down. He took my hand with his right, and we both shivered at the contact. "Ice quirk?" I asked, and he nodded.
"I'm Todoroki, Shouto," he introduces himself, and I bow my head.
"I-I recognize you from the Sports Festival. You're Endeavor's son, I deeply apologize," I quickly walked by him, now realizing I was taking to the number 2 hero's child. Why did I walk away? I didn't even introduce myself to him! We could've been friends! And he's cute! I shake my thoughts out of my head as I turned the corner and opened the door to 1-B.
"Hey (Y/n)!" Kendo smiled, waving at me. I smiled back and took my seat next to her's. "Tetsutetsu and I were wondering if you wanted to hang out later?" I widened my eyes and nodded with a smile. I mean, I knew I managed to befriend the confident orange haired girl and the metal-made boy, but I never thought I'd be invited to hang out with them!
"Class is now in session," Vlad announced as he walked in, and we all prepared for class.

When lunch rolled around, I got to sit with Kendo and Tetsu, and I could tell they noticed I was unusually happy. Honestly, I don't know why I'm so happy about this. Maybe because usually my quirk makes me cold and I push people away? We were sitting next to a group of 1-A students, and I noticed there was five of them and only four chairs.
"One of you could sit here, we have an extra chair," I offered, looking at the other two for approval. They both nodded and of course Todoroki was the one who sat next to me, since I was the one with the empty seat beside me.
"Oh, hello again," he spoke indifferently, which I noticed seems to just be the way he talks.
"Hi, uh, I'm sorry, I didn't introduce myself before. I was just... afraid of being late to class! Yeah... anyways, I'm L/n Y/n, this is Kendo and Tetsutetsu," I finally introduced myself, pointing out my friends to Todoroki. He nodded and looked at me, before grabbing his cup. I was confused, and when he poured his water out, I was still confused, but I froze the water anyway to prevent it from spilling all over the floor.
