Chapter 5: Meeting Her

(Opal's POV)

"She's dead..."

"Wait... Who ?" I ask confused.

"Sydney... She's gone... A wolf killed her. Now we have her here." Arvo comments walking over. "How familiar are you with wolfs Opal?"

"Decent..."

"Good because right now it looks like your the only one who can stand the smell." He makes me run with him to a nearby clan and I see the girl from my dream tied up.

My eyes widen and I put on a cloak to hide my face from her. She looked afraid when I last saw her... I wouldn't think she would be a killer...

"So what did she do?" I ask looking at Levi.

"She came on to our lands earlier. She tried to attack me."

"That can't be for no reason. You probably did something, knowing you."

"See this is why I like Opal. She gets me so well." I give a small smirk and look at the wolf.

"So wait... Do you have a picture of the killer?"

"It's blurry, but here." Levi hands me a picture and I look at her, then the picture.

"This isn't her. Are you kidding me? I think your just trying to get a look-a-like."

He looks at me with confusion and Arvo agrees. "Find a different one... Idiot. For now can you watch over her Opal?"

"M-me?" I stand and shake my head.

"Fine... It's not a question, but an order. Watch her." I nod and sit at one if the desks facing her.

Is fate really out to get me? Or is this just random? I growl and lay my head down only to see her start to open her eyes.

She moves and brings her head up and looks around. "Huh?..... where...am.. I...." she looks up and sees me and then her face turns to anger. She must think I am either Levi or Lyra. "Why the hell did you take me! And where the hell am I!" Her voice loud and backed with anger.

"I'm not the people who attacked you..." I take off the hood and get a better look at her. "They went off to find the real wolf." I say looking at the door.

"What do you mean?" She asks looking at me puzzled. For a few seconds she gives shocked look then is back to her puzzled face.

"What! No! That was-" she falls silent. Soon she just lets her head fall. Her eyes focused on the floor.

Lyra walks in the room and stands beside me. "Did she give any information Opal?"

"No she did not. Then again I'm not really asking."

"Hm. Maybe she knows who did it...." Lyra walks to her and puts her hand underneath the girls chin and forces her to look up. "Do you know who did it? Who killed one of our own?" The girl doesn't answer. The wolf snatches her head away from Lyra. I can see it on Lyra's face that shes about to explode. My cousin and Lyra were lover's so of course she would be upset and want to kill the wolf that did it.

"Hay... Don't be so harsh on her. If she knows she should talk. If she doesn't then we will let her go and we will look for the other girl ourselves"

The wolf girl speaks up. "It isn't a girl who did it....."

"What?" Lyra asks looking at her.

"If I tell you... you will leave the rest of the pack alone...correct?" She says looking down and away from both of us. She looks ashamed.

"We just want the killer. No one else."

"If you release me I promise to bring him here.... or on your grounds......"
