"Vera! You're finally here!" Via shouted as I entered the room. I was stunned on how beautiful her purple gown was. Jackson was right. She's like a Lilac flower.

"Happy birthday!" I hugged her tightly as if we haven't seen each other yesterday

"Happy birthday!" I hugged her tightly as if we haven't seen each other yesterday. "Do you know that twenty one is already old?" I joked. "Stop it. I asked my parents not to do this kind of thing because it's kinda embarrassing how old I am!" she said worriedly. "Via, I'm only joking! twenty one means you're no longer a lady, but a woman already" I said to her. "Thanks. You look great by the way. You look expensive. I think You'll find Mr. Right tonight" she winked.

"Speaking of guys, your new body guard is kinda cute" I said shyly. "Oh Scott!" She screamed. "Shhh!!! Lower you voice" I was kinda embarrassed when I said his name. "He's a total Hottie. Jackson told me what happened earlier, that's why you were held up down there" She said. I just kept quiet and nodded.

"You should talk to him again" she suddenly said. "I can't. He's working" I gave her a short answer. "Well, lucky for you, Jackson is no longer my body guard. He'll be working with my parents next week, so Scott Adams, the new hunky security agent, will be working for me" She said with a smirk on her face. I didn't respond to her and just kept quiet.

"By the way, I got you something" I said to her while handing a lavender box. I saw her opening the box with excitement. "Vera! This is Gorgeous! I love it! thank you so much!" She gave me a tight hug to show her appreciation. "I bought the best gift for my best friend" I said to her.

I was glad that she wore the bracelet and it matched her gown....

As she was still getting ready, I went outside and looked at the ballroom and it looked so magical. I saw some guests already arrived with their overly expensive outfits and some paparazzi.

It's already seven forty five. Fifteen minutes until the party starts. "Vera,  darling" I looked behind me and saw
Mrs. Anderson in an elegant black dress. "Hi Mrs. A. You look spectacular as always" I said as I gave her a hug. "I thought I saw Kristina joining us tonight" she joked. Mom and Mrs. Anderson were so close. That's why Via and I are close.

"People always see my mom in me" I blushed. I agree that I look like my mom, but I am nothing like her. She is popular, she's graceful and most importantly, she's fearless. I'm not like her...
