The Big Move!

First Quarter. Shea is 11

Shea's POV

Man I don't wanna move , I love it here in Atlanta with all my friends and family. Mama said it would be fun to try something new and move. She claims I may like it in California. My mom is a stay at home mom and my dad works at a bank and we're moving because my dad found a bank in California that pays more then him working out here in Atlanta. My older sister Jasmine doesn't mind moving she wants to move out there just to look at the hunks out there. My sister Jasmine is such a diva. She's always in the latest trends and always has her hair done. But me, I hate getting my hair done, I like to wear baggy clothes and fitted caps & big basketball jerseys I barely can fit. My mom says Im acting like such a "Tomboy" cause all I do is dress like a tomboy and play basketball. I love basketball with a passion. I've been balling since I was in diapers and Im going to be #23 like Michael Jordan. My mom thinks I should do cheerleading but cheerleading is for pretty girls and I don't think Im all that pretty.

End Of POV

Mama: Honey are you ready yet? (She says as talking to Shea locked up in her room, then she comes downstairs with a pout on her face)

Shea: No mama. I don't want to leave (sighs)

Mama: Well, honey you may like it there and take off that hat , you look like a lil boy.

Shea: (rolls eyes)

Mama: Where's your sister?

Shea: She's outside helping dad with the boxes

Mama: Make sure your room is empty cause we're about to leave. We have to drive cross country. Im telling you , you may like it there and actually don't never wanna come back to ATL once you go to Cali (She strokes her face) Just please hurry up and get the rest of your things so we can leave (she kisses her cheek and then shea walks upstairs to get the rest of their things. And they finish packing up and they started their trip to California)
