Love & Basketball (Roc Royal Mindless Behavior Love Story)

Second Quarter: Game Time

Shea and Trey are seniors at Crenshaw High in California. They both are 18 years old & today is Shea's big basketball game against the West Coast Giants.

Shea's POV:

Today is my second big game to reach it to the championship once we beat the Giants. I still haven't been recruited yet & this sucks. Everyone says because it's my "hot temper" but I could give two fucks. I was out playing ball. My parents are coming except for Jasmine because she has college. I think Trey may be coming. He is the best on the boys varsity team but I know he doesn't have eyes for me & I don't have eyes for him back there's always girls chasing after him & always trying to get with him. It disgusts me. But hey, he likes all the attention. His boys Jake,Ray, and Craig all are on the team too but Trey is much better then them in ball. Jake & them are ard. But Trey has them beat. Just then Coach Daniels & Coach Mike knocked on the girls locker room to signal us it's almost time for the game. I tied my nikes up. Tucked my shirt in my baggy white,blue & yellow pants & left the locker room. We were all by the side of the courts & all the seats were packed full of people. I seen both of my parents. My mom was reading one of her novels for school & my dad had his video camera recording everything.

Coach Mike: "Alright ladies , we have to win this in order to get to the championship."

Coach Daniels: "We're gonna play hard & with control" (Looks at Shea)

Coach Mike: "Lady cougars on three"

Shea: " 1 , 2 , 3" (The whole team screams Lady Cougars & they all head to the court to take their positions.)

When the ref threw the ball up in the air I knew it was time to win this. Im going to play all my heart out & try hard not to lose control. My girl Nya tall ass jumped for the ball & tossed it back to my girl Lia. She passed me the ball & I dribbled down court to make a three & made it. The crowd cheered. When it was the 3rd quarter the score was 67-58. We were winning & playing hard. Just then when Lia passed me the ball I tried dribbling the ball & some crazy looking big eyed girl snatched the ball away from me . I was Furious. I followed her down the court. Just as she tried scoring a lay up. I sprinted up & smacked the ball out her hand. & The refs screamed fail & blew their whistles. The girl was more shorter then me & I looked her up & down & gave her short ass the stank look.

Shea: (Screaming at Refs) "WHATT??!!?? Thats not fair. She grabbed my arm & snatched the ball from me.

Coach Daniels: (Grabbed Shea & put her on the bench with the rest of the players)

Shea: (Screaming) "THIS SOME BULL"

Shea's Mom: (Yelling from bleachers) "Shea calm down"

I totally ignored everyone telling me to calm down. Like I don't have to listen to them. They're all idiots. I threw my towel on the ground & glared at the coaches with the most unpleasant look. Just then I spotted Trey,Ray,Jake & Craig all by the doors with a whole crowd of girls. Anger filled my body. As I was looking over where they were standing , Trey must of noticed that I was looking over there he looked at me & made eye contact with me. He is so beautiful & good looking. That light caramel skin tone, that nice curly hair low cut Id love to run my fingers through, & those beautiful perfect white teeth. He was just beautiful all over. & He also balls just like me & hes amazing at it. But I know he won't never go for a tomboy like me. I always had eyes for him since I was 11 but he never notices me. And I never show that I like him. I always act so tough & boyish around him. Just looking into his eyes from 25 feet away & hes looking back just made me melt. Just then he stopped looking at me & I turned away. He gave all his boys a handshake & left the gym. I wonder where he's going. He's prolly going to mess around with them crazy groupies. I sat there & watched the rest of the game with anger still inside of me. But at least we won by 3 points.
