The Legend

Chapter 2

I walked back to the house. I came in the back door to find that my mom was putting food in the fridge. "Can I take a bike ride around town, Mom?" I asked. "Sure. Don't go too far." she said. She handed me twenty bucks. "Here. In case you see something you like in a shop." she said. "Thanks mom!" I ran out the front door. I grabbed my bike from where it was leaning against the side of the house. I grabbed my helmet from the handlebar and strapped it on my head. I pedaled off of my street and onto the main road. I drove past a lot of shops. I drove past the school, where my mom and I will be getting a private tour from the principal later. I saw a shop called "Surfs Sup!" and I decided to look in there. I parked my bike on the sidewalk and took off my helmet. I put the helmet on the handlebars. I pushed open the door. The bell above the door made a loud sound. There were a lot of customers in that store! I made my way to the back of the store. I found a sun hat that that I liked. But I decided not to get it. I grabbed my bike and pedaled further down the street. I found a clothes shop. I stopped in there. I found a blue dress with white stripes. I decided to get it. I also found a pair of flip-flops! My size! I decided to get them too! Hey! They matched the dress! I paid for my clothes and went outside. I stuck them in my bike basket. I pedaled back to my house. I didn't know this town very well yet, so I went down a couple streets before I found mine. When I walked in the door my mom asked, "What did you get?" I showed her the dress and the flip-flops. "Nice!" she said. I headed upstairs with my stuff. I walked into my bedroom. I still had a lot of unpacking to do. I started to unpack a little more, when my mom called for me. "Time to go to the school for a tour!" I ran down the stairs, out the front door, and into the car. My mom came out. We drove down to school.
