Chapter 3

By the time the tour was over, I learned where my homeroom was, where the cafeteria was, and where the library was. Me and my mom decided to go somewhere to eat. We stopped at this restaurant. The food was so good. After that, we went home. I was really tired, so I got right into bed as soon as I got home. My mom came and sat on my bed. "Honey, you can walk to school tomorrow if you want." she said. "Ok!" I said. She asked me if I knew the way and I said yes. My mom said good night to me and then she left. She can't be there tomorrow because she has her new job. I fell asleep. I kept dreaming of that strange girl I met on the beach. Soon morning came. I got dressed in my new dress and flip-flops. I went downstairs and made my breakfast. My mom was already gone. I finished up my breakfast. I decided to bike to school instead of walk, so I went outside and grabbed my bike and helmet. I pedaled to school. When I got there, I put my bike in the rack. I walked into school. I stopped at my locker since I knew where it was from the tour. I then went into my homeroom. The back row was full of boys, and the front row is full of girls. I saw right away who I wanted to be friends with. They looked like they were the popular girls of the grade. There were two girls, both about my height. One had red hair and brown eyes, and the other had blonde hair and hazel eyes. I took the last empty seat in the front row. The two girls came over to me. "Hi, I'm Quinn!" the girl with the red hair said. "Nice to meet you!" I said. The girl with the blonde hair spoke up. "My name is Harper!" she said. The bell rung. Quinn has the same lunch period as me, so she told me she would find me at lunch. Harper doesn't have the same lunch period. Quinn and Harper went to sit down in their seats. The teacher did attendance. The bell rung again. Everyone burst out of their seats. Everyone rocketed down the hallway. I went across the hall and into the english classroom. I walked over to the back row. And get this! That strange girl from the beach was there!
