Epilogue
Kyle and Jessica were married, and both ruled their little island paradise like it should have been ruled years ago. With warmth, love and respect, yet strict rules of conduct, where the crime fit the punishment, although there wasn't much crime because people were happier now. There was no need to steal or fight, everyone knew their duties and they did them, including Jessica, who although she was the queen, worked the fields and brought in the fish. She fought to get the island the way it was and swore she'd keep it that way by being a hands-on ruler, instead of a proxy ruler like her father was.
She had so many other dreams as she was growing up and none of them were like this. She dreamed the same things that all children dreamed; to be a doctor or a lawyer, but little did she know at the time that her fate was already sealed for her. She never thought of leaving the island and returning to her home, simply because she had a responsibility to her people and she couldn't set them free and leave them without a leader.
Nine months after Kyle and Jessica stepped foot on the island Jessica gave birth to a son and named him Saxton. They lived happily on Clear Water Island and never again had to hide their love in the shadows of the night.
