"Kyle, Get up!" A man screamed as he entered the room.

Kyle and I jumped up out of a dead sleep. "Oh shit." Kyle said, when he saw the gray-haired man walk into the room.

"Who is that," I asked still a little sleepy.

"I knew you'd screw this up." He said when he saw Jessica sitting in the bed with him with a sheet covering her.

"I can explain...I think," Kyle said then quickly got out of bed. He stood up straight with his hands behind his back, just like a soldier, but quickly remembered that I was naked. He handed me a robe and quickly returned to his formal position.

I put it on trying not to expose myself to the elderly man.

"I received a phone call, giving me more information than I wanted," He growled as he glanced over at me and then back at Kyle.

"Sir, I really don't know what to say." Kyle said as he stood beside the bed.

"Nothing, there's no need for explanations, because I know what you've been up to. I asked you to watch her. I asked you to hide your identity from her and then I get a phone call telling me that you were caught in her bedroom. I ignored it, thinking that you were the best man for the job. Then I receive a phone call telling me that you helped her out of a fix at the campground, as both the masked man and you, which I told you to sell that damn campground, four years ago. I ignored that one too," he said then sat down in one of the chairs and stared at Kyle. "I received another call telling me that you let her get into a fight and did nothing to prevent her from getting injured and now I find out that the two of you are in an intimate relationship," He said then paused for a moment and sternly said. "I will not ignore this one."

Kyle looked over at me for a moment and then back at the man sitting in the chair. "Sir, I love her." He admitted.

"Love fades, how can you be so sure this will last?" He asked him.

"I'd die for her." He said without pausing to think about it or even stalling to give his answer one last thought. He simply spouted it out shocking me. I was surprised that he would say something like that because when I told him that I loved him he just stood there and never said a thing to me. He didn't even respond with a smile or anything. He showed no emotion what so ever.

"And you just may." He said sounding serious. Kyle knew he was.

"What? No," I said wondering what in the hell was going on and who this man was.

The man turned his attention to me. "Do you feel the same about him?" I just sat there glaring at the man, thinking it was none of his damn business how I felt about him. I opened my mouth to say something smart but felt it would be better if I just kept my mouth shut.

"Answer me!" he screamed, his voice so loud and commanding that it was intimidating, so much so that it made me jump.

"Yes."

"What a fine mess you've gotten yourself into, Kyle." He said then turned and looked at me, "you're sitting there wondering who I am aren't you?"

I swallowed a lump in my throat, "Yes."

"I am your father."

My heart dropped into my stomach, "I..." I paused and looked from Kyle back to the man again, "I don't understand."

"Charles!" he yelled at the door, making me turn my head to look at the door just as my father walk through it.

"Explain to this child who you are," the gray-haired man commanded.
