"Ophelia? Come here...Ophelia!" Alice flickered her eyes back and forth between the young girl's hand that was grasped within the pale king's hand.

Ophelia finally drew her eyes away from him when her name was called for the second time. She released her grasp on Caius's hand then paced over to stand beside Alice.

Alice tightly gripped Ophelia's wrist and pulled the girl to stand behind her, resulting in a faint grimace to adorn her features and a quiet hiss to escape her lips. Alice immediately released her wrist and a flash of remorse covered her eyes before it vanished and she turned back to the three vampire kings at the center of the room.

Caius saw the encounter and released a snarl as he glared at the cause of Ophelia's pain. Aro interrupted the scene before it could escalate any higher.

Ophelia looked at the king, "I'm fine it's okay.." she spoke lightly as she gave him a reassuring smile. He slightly relaxed as his mate spoke those words but still sit very tensely in his throne if anything else were to happen.

"She knows too much... She's a liability." Caius spoke with a grim smirk as he looked at the younger Swan girl.

"That's true." Marcus spoke as he looked at the scene before him with an uninterested gaze.

"Felix?" Aro silently questioned Felix to get rid of their liability.

Before Ophelia's eyes could concentrate on the scene before her,  Jane's twin released his grip on Bella and sped out of the way. "No!" Edward let out a shout as he flipped Bella behind himself and took her place.

Ophelia quickly backed away from the situation and threw a wary glance at her mate. She was never a confrontational person, but the sight before her both unsettled and excited her.

The moment Caius felt a gaze upon him his eyes roamed the roam searching for the young Swan. He quickly sped over to her the moment he found her backed against the wall looking at him with wide eyes. He grabbed her by the waist and sped over to the safety of his throne where he stood and held her waist loosely in his grasp and continued to watch the scene unfold before him.

Before she knew it, Felix slammed Edwards body into the marble steps leading up to the three thrones at the center of the room. She watched closely, mouth agape and eyes wide, but curiosity began to overtake her mind more than her previous weariness.

"Please! No! No! Please! Please! Kill me... kill me, not him!" Her sister uncomfortably fidgeted and ran her hands through her hair as she protested the slaughter of her vampire boyfriend.

Ophelia scoffed at the sight of her younger sister's theatrics, 'never a normal reaction with Bella Swan' Ophelia thought as she rolled her eyes. She leaned her head back onto Caius's arm, now realizing no harm would come her way if he was present.

She watched as Aro approached her sister with an incredulous gaze as she volunteered herself to death himself.  They chatted for a moment when Alice finally broke through the tension.

"I've seen it! She'll be one of us! ...and Ophelia too." Alice softly spoke the last part of her sentence with a negative attitude.

"As if there were another alternative." Caius swayed as he slightly stiffened and tightened his relaxed grip around Ophelia's waist.

Ophelia couldn't help but to think about what would happen when she left, she had no idea why but she felt that leaving volterra was the worst option available.
