"Flight 451 to Italy, last call." the brunette behind the flight desk called over the intercom; staring not so subtly in my direction. Charlie had said he was going to meet me at the airport before I left, the small trip fit perfectly into his lunch break. But as the announcement called and signified his time was up, I got sick of waiting. I gathered my carry-on bag along with Blu in his carrier and walked onto the plane.

I had convinced my 'dad' I had to leave for Italy for a "once-in-a-lifetime" scholarship opportunity and with the 'kind' help of Bella and the Cullens, he gave me his permission. Never in my life had I been so thankful for Charlie letting me leave. He hadn't spoke to me since he agreed to see me off for Italy and that was two days prior, he forgot about his only other daughter yet again.

The twelve hour flight was absolutely grueling. Between two loud women complaining about their close seating arrangements the entirety of the flight and a young kid kicking my seat for the first handful of hours, I was ready to be off of the plane.

Just as I was promised the day I left, two guards were awaiting me at the gate to bring me to the Volturi castle. The ride was short and pleasant. Neither of the two men in the front spoke much, only offering a quiet greeting and small smiles. The incessant swarm my whole body was feeling was nerve wracking. I was excited to be back, the physical strain on my body lessened as I got closer to him. But meeting him again and not making a fool of myself we're the two things worrying me.

Blu had fallen asleep in my lap as soon as we got into the vehicle. Turns out he does not enjoy airplanes and he had spent the entire 12 hour flight telling me how we were going to crash and die, run out of gas mid air, or have to make an emergency landing and be stranded in the middle of nowhere. The small creature was the epitome of melodramatic.

"Welcome your highness." The woman in the lobby smiled brightly and softly greeted us as we walked through the entrance. I looked around to see if one of the three kings were nearby, but only found myself and the two men apart from the woman.

I continued being led through the long hallways still confused by the woman's greeting. Shrugging my shoulders I held Blu closer to my chest as he soundly slept against me. The guard holding my luggage turned down a darker hall and the other guard waved me to follow him. We finally turned a corner facing the large familiar set of doors when they suddenly slammed open.

" Amore..."

I found my self smothered into a silky fabric before i registered what had even happened. Strong arms had wrapped themselves around my waist and the smell of fresh rain and something metallic flooded my senses. Before I could even think coherently, I wrapped my free arm around and grasped tightly onto the silky robe. My body finally relaxed after days of physical stress and I felt completely and utterly content.

A small thump onto my rib cage caused me to suddenly break contact to check on Blu.
"You're squishing me!" He looked at me and pouty with his wide eyes.
"Oh goodness!" I quickly did a once over on him to check and make sure the vampires strength didn't injure him with the sudden embrace he was just lodged in.

"Who... is that?" The icy blonde stared at the small creature in my hands.

"This is Blu. It's a long story I intend to explain later but he will be staying with me." I took a pause, "As long as that's okay"

"As you wish." Caius slowly drew his eyes away from the animal and stared into my own eyes. I could see he wasn't very happy over the extra addition but he didn't want to say no.

I smiled and looked to the floor trying to hide the blush caused by his intense stare. I felt a hand pull my head up high. Caius leaned down and put his lips next to my neck. My heart began to thump harder in fear that he may not be able to control his thirst around me.
