The next day at school I was at the bulletin board. I looked around to see if anyone was looking, then quickly signed my name on a spot for the glee club. I turned around and started to walk.
"Hi there!!!" I jumped and looked over to see a short brunette looking over at me excitedly. "I see you're signing up for glee club!!"
"Uhh... yeah.."
"I'm the lead of the group and-"
"Oh you're Rachel Berry! Yeah I've heard of you. You sounded great at last year's regionals!"
"I know right!!" Oh boy... she was that kinda person.
"I gotta get to class..."
"Okay I'll see you in glee club after school!! That's when you have to try out. Well not really try out because everyone gets in... but see what talent you have and I'm sure you're very talented... a counter-tenor from what I gather from your speaking voice but you might have a low singing voi-"
"Like I said. I have to go to class" I walked away from her, having second thoughts about joining.
I couldn't pay attention. Too much was going on in my head. I have glee club audition things, homework, outfit planning, the coffee shop, and Blaine. I couldn't seem to get his mind off of the boy. What was Blaine like anyways... I hoped he was gay. Although I've never met anyone in Ohio that's gay, or at least openly gay. It was just me and my loneliness. I'm okay with it. I got used to it. But he had this strange feeling about Blaine.
I walked out of class and saw the jocks at the bulletin board. They obviously weren't signing up for a club or anything because they were already on the football team. I needed to go past them so I held my breath. And there it was. That cold familiar feeling of slushy getting thrown in my face, lime this time. At least they chose one that I liked instead of the blue ones that stained my face or the awful artificial cherry.
"Joining the glee club aren'tya lady" Karofsky said snickering. They all started imitating what they thought I would sound like if I sung, which they all sounded like a dying Mickey Mouse. I ran to the girls bathroom as fast as I could.
There was no one in there. He looked at himself in the mirror and out of nowhere just started bawling. I had no idea why I was doing it, I mean I've had slushy on my face countless times, but I couldn't help it. I spent the rest of second period in the bathroom crying, changing, and washing my hair in the bathroom sinks.
