The cheers of the crowd echoed through the four walls of the stadium and the little Irish man stood proud of his work. He just finished reading the last line of his book and never in his life did he think of receiving this overwhelming praise for his work. Who would have thought the little Irish man who was the son of a great doctor would turn out to be a writer. People have always thought of him to follow the footsteps of his father, but the gods of the literary world was calling his name and it was written in his stars that his name would mark the literary world.
"C'est magnifique!" the old French man muttered, offering the author a warm embrace. It took him a minute or so when it finally registered to him that the man he was sharing an embrace with was Monsieur Angelo Bello, the president of the European Association of the Arts. He always had much respect for the French man because in the literary world, Monsieur Bello is a legend.
"Your book is outstanding; you have written a wonderful piece of art, Monsieur Horan. It is beautiful, I'm speechless," Monsieur Bello said, releasing the author from the embrace they have shared.
"It...it is a great privilege that a man like you whom I respect so much liked my book."
"Liked? You must be mistaken, Monsieur Horan. I am in love with your book. This kind of book is what I live for and I am honoured to announce that you will grace the cover of next month's issue of Artist."
He couldn't believe it. Niall James Horan would be the cover of Artist Magazine? He stood at the presence of the French man, eyes dazed, mouth open and knees trembling. He wanted to speak but the words couldn't flow out of his mouth. He couldn't believe the fact that the blonde Irish man whom months ago was inspired to write a book is now standing at the presence of a legend and will be the cover of the magazine which he greatly adored.
"No need to utter a word, Monsieur Horan. I know that this is a lot of take, but I would like to say that on Friday, a representative from Artist magazine will do a personal interview about your work, something that would give our readers a brighter perspective of the young writer who just created a beautiful masterpiece; and I hope it won't be a burden on your part, Monsieur Horan. I know it is short notice and on behalf of EAOA, I apologize."
"Please do not apologize, Monsieur Bello, the honour is mine and I would love to have that interview with Artist. Trust me, Monsieur, I've been a fan of this magazine since I was in high school and the fact that I would be in the magazine is such a fulfilment in life. I am greatly honoured, Monsieur.
"It is settled then. I have to go now, Monsieur Horan and it was a pleasure meeting you."
"Please, the pleasure is mine, Monsieur Bello, Au revoir!"
The French man waved goodbye to the Irish blonde and with that he was gone. Flashes of the cameras continued and soon the French man disappeared among the crowd. Niall stood frozen at his spot. Everything that he ever dreamed of is now part of his reality. But deep down he thought to himself the reason of his success and it was because of the book he wrote, but he couldn't stop thinking of him-The man who inspired him to write about a story of love and loss. Maybe it was fate that brought them together that day, but one thing is for sure, he couldn't stop thinking of the boy he once loved before and that kiss they shared. The kiss that inspired Niall James Horan to write a book about the boys he loved before, and what is funny about the situation is that one of the boys he wrote about was the same guy he met last month.
