Sometimes the dark is friendly. It can be comforting.
But not when you were forced into it.
The room he shoved me into is pitch black. It's so cold I feel as if my bones are becoming solid. The cement floor and walls do nothing to help that. After crawling around for a few minutes, I had finally found a blanket on the floor in a corner. I curled up in a ball, leaned up against the corner, with the blanket over top of me, and haven't moved from that position for hours. Possibly even days. I haven't had food, but somebody gave me water. I was too cold to go and pick it up from beside the door. I can feel myself wasting away.
Suddenly, I hear footsteps outside the door and a bolt being opened. The door swings open and Knox Stevens appears.
"Get up."
I just shrink back into the corner even more.
"God damn it! I said get up!"
I start to shrink back into the corner even more, but instead, I try to move. I try to stand but I just fall over and hit my head on the concrete.
There's a lot of blood. The ringing in my ears drowns out the sound of yelling, and I can't make it stop. I open my mouth to speak, but nothing comes out.
I feel myself being picked up off the ground and voices screaming are just starting to be heard.
"... She's losing consciousness... Get the car... Drive... If she'll make it... Blood..."
I wonder if they're taking me somewhere fun. The voices won't go away. They fade in and out. I can't breath. My chest is tight but I can't move. I close my eyes and slip into dark before coming back out. Someone's whispering in my ear. Telling me everything's going to be okay. I don't believe them. I think they're lying.
"It'll all be over soon. Hold on." The voice whispers.
I don't know why, but that voice scares me. When I die, maybe I'll be able to haunt them. My father. Knox. Everyone.
This is so not how I wanted to die.
I hear beeping sounds. Sounds of a hospital. I open my eyes and see a figure in mint green.
I smile at a figure hovering above me and manage to speak four words.
"I bet he's happy."
I refer to Knox. The one who did this to me. But before I know it, I'm being taken away. Something pricks me. It hurts, but I can't move. There's a burn, but I can't tell if it's from the prick, or if it's from a fire. The next thing I know, I'm in the dark again. And the last thing I hear is the machine telling me my heart has stopped.

Yoooo, so I swear this was like the most cliche chapter ever. I've had this one written for like a year I think? I haven't been active so I'm sorry for that. I'll try to give you some more updates here soon.
Till next time!
