During Summer Break
Harry was talking to his godfather, Sirius, and his husband, Remus, about his parents considering they were all friends when they went to Hogwarts.
"Yeah Prongs had it for Evans from the start," said Remus laughing. Harry gave him a confused look, recognizing Evans as his mothers maiden name but not recognizing the name Prongs.
"James," Remus corrected himself.
"Why did you call him Prongs?" Harry asked, still very confused.
"It was a nickname of sorts," Sirius stated.
"Why was he given that nickname?" Harry asked.
"Well our group of friends all had 'nicknames' because all of us are animagi," explained Sirius, "well except for Remus. He *was* given a nickname, though he's a werewolf."
"My father was an animagus?" Harry asked surprised.
"Yeah. We called ourselves the Marauders. Remember Peter Pettigrew?" Remus asked to which Harry nodded, "He was a rat named Wormtail. I, of course, am a werewolf and my name is Moony. Sirius is a dog named Padfoot. And your father, James, was a stag named Prongs."
"Wow," stated Harry in awe. It made sense to him that if his father were to be any animal it would be a stag. That's probably the reason that his patronus was also a stag. It was like a piece of his father was inside him, which gave him a very warm and happy feeling.
"You know you've got it in your blood. I can probably teach you to transform from human," Sirius said gesturing to himself, "to animal." Just then Sirius turned himself into a dog, larger in size with sparkling blue eyes and long, black, slightly matted fur. Even so he was one of the most beautiful dogs Harry had ever seen.
"Oh baby, that's a great idea," Remus exclaimed happily as he bent down to kiss Padfoot's nose. To which he got licked in the face. Then he started to pet behind his ears. Padfoot's response to this was a soft loving pants to show that he was enjoying what Remus was doing.
Harry smiled lovingly at his family and replied with, "I'd love that."
