Adrenaline pumped through me at the sight of my arm being ripped to shreds and I felt my arm pulled out from under Madelyn's hand. My fist punched the side of her head and she fell away from me. I clutched my arm, the blood gushing through my fingers, and she growled at me. I couldnt help feeling sick at the sight of the chunk of my arm still in her teeth.
That's when the pain started.
It felt like my whole body had been caught on fire. I could have sworn my skin was bubbling and moving as I opened my mouth to scream. No sound came out as the pain stole even my voice.
Every muscle in my body tightened and loosened at the same time. It was the worst feeling in the world when the fire reached my muscles. They shifted and moved without me making them. My throat closed up and I couldnt breath. My whole body shook as the pain hurt me.
I was choking to death and my insides were burning. I literally felt like I was dying. My eyes locked on my still open window and I tried screaming to get Joann's attention but nothing came out. I needed to get home. I really needed to get home. My brain was starting to melt. I needed to get home before it was completly gone.
I struggled to stand up but collapsed the second I was standing. Madelyn took a step forward then stopped. I blinked and instead of her gigantic wolf form, it was regular Madelyn standing there.
"Xavier please stop fighting it. You're going to get hurt." Madelyn said, sounding so worried.
My throat opened up again and I took a gigantic breath. I struggled to stand again but a flash of fire made me drop to my knees, skinning them. "Fight." I inhaled sharply as the muscles in my shoulders suddenly spasamed and I was forced onto all fours. "If I want." I choked out.
"Xavier." Madelyn said softly.
"SHUT UP!!!" I screamed at her as I fell on my stomach.
My head was pounding, the fire was burining every cell in my body, my muscles were locked up now, making it impossible for me to move, my hands were bleeding where my fingernails had dug into my palms as I clenched my hands into fists. My heart was pounding in my ears as my vision started going black. One last feeble heartbeat echoed in my ears before I slipped into the darkness.
