Charlie is a 16 year old girl that lives in a council flat in Scotland with her dad, his girlfriend and her young daughter . Her mum lives in London with her little brother and her boyfriend. Somehow Charlie needs to make a decision on where she has to go next.
She could go stay with her mum in London where she gets looked after well or stay with her dad where things aren't exactly easy and her only escape is school. She has to think of her friends and family before making any decisions...though it doesn't help there is a boy she likes.
