Caseus

If I were a better man my fascination with Issa Mobayi wouldn't have become anymore intrusive than the stunt I pulled with the building. If I didn't have trust issues engraved in my bones I would have handled her not calling me for dinner like a man and gave her some time. I didn't. After she abruptly left the store front I wen't back to work as I intended but couldn't stop thinking about her. Every little detail about her bounced around in my head and I found myself rereading the same lines on contracts over and over.

I was bewitched by her buttery smooth skin, the way her pupils slightly dilated and her breath hitched when I stepped into her personal space. The smell of her breath, the feel of her toned body, the fit of her legs wrapped around me. She was taking over any free space in my mind and I only knew about her what a standard google search could provide. At home I pushed my body to the brink of collapse in my gym trying to shake her from my thoughts. I had to make quick work of my shower lest I tug myself to completion like the adolescent I felt like.

I longed to feel her fluffy, fragrant hair sweeping my stomach and thighs as she took me into her mouth. That mouth. She was driving me insane and she wasn't even here. The nagging little voice of distrust whispered to me she was probably entertaining someone else. Some other man. I reasoned it would be best if she was because then I could put her out of my mind no matter how much the idea of her being in the arms of another man enraged me.

Would she let him kiss her like she let me? Would she lock him between her thighs and sigh into his mouth like she did mine? Would she let him take her home and go even further? I couldn't pull myself out of the trenches imagining what ifs once I started and they had me jumping out of bed and snatching my phone from the night stand. I shot a quick test to Remy. Anything and everything no matter how dirty or grimy the task he got shit done. I asked him to find her for me. I just wanted to kn ow where she was and if it happened to be in the arms of another man then so be it.

As he requested I sent him her telephone number and tried my damnedest to patiently wait for him to locate her, no doubt he would. After fifteen of the longest minutes of my life he let me know he tracked her car leaving her family estate. The next message said she was being followed by another vehicle registered to a Kenly Azikiwe. He forwarded me his picture and I recognized him as her lunch date. Remy wanted to know if I wanted him to intercept him but I told him to just follow them. I lifted the top off of the crystal decanter and poured the amber liquid into a glass taking a slow sip. I wanted to know where this would lead.

When Remy updated me that she pulled up to her building still with him in tow I damn near shattered the glass I was drinking from slamming it down on the bar. I wandered around the house waiting for the next message to come. Waiting for him to tell me with a smile she invited the son of a bitch inside but it never came. Apparently he left without ever getting out of the car. Good girl, Poor bastard.

Over the next four weeks Issa kept surprising me, she was truly an anomaly. We texted each other as much as we could during the day and well into the night. She would randomly send me pictures throughout the week most of them featuring her or something she was involved in or liked. I was learning more about her than she probably realized. I learned she was lactose intolerant from seeing skim written on the side of her cup In the picture she sent with a mustache of whipped cream from the double caramel latte sprinkled with cinnamon she got every morning on her way into work. I opened an account with them to deduct the price of her coffee and anything else she might want so all she had to do was pick it up and be on her way. I completely ignored her protests that she could pay for her own coffee and even considered having one of the baristas personally bring it up to her office but when I mentioned it to her she wasn't for it. We'll see about that.
