He smiles, "Miss me?"

My heart skips. "I didn't even know you were in this class" I say.

"I just transferred to it. Maybe if you wouldn't have zoned out, you would have heard the professor introduce me to everyone." He smirks.

Hmm, class with Donovan. Well, this is going to be interesting. I smirk, "Sorry, I was kind of freaked out. You know, with being chased by someone and all."

Donovan smiles, "Who wouldn't want to chase a girl as beautiful as yourself?" He asks.

I look down, blushing. "Please." I say. "No one would chase me because of that. Maybe a serial killer who wants to kill me, but not just to get to know me. And if that's the case, I'm not going to give them the time of day." I say, tucking a stray hair behind my ear.

Donovan just smiles. "You'd be surprised." He snorts, looking at me.

Donovan is a very attractive guy. He has brown gair with greenish - blue eyes. His jawline curves perfectly on his face, reminding me of Tobias's jawline.

And here I go again, thinking about Tobias. I roll my eyes. Tobias is absolutely handsome, well more like hot, but a complete dick. Where as Donovan is a complete sweetheart. plus he's attractive. Don't get me wrong though, Tobias is definitely more hot, but Donovan is attractive as well.

I zone back in, catching the last few words Donovan said. "So that's pretty much what this project is about. Pretty easy. I'm sure we can pass." He says, looking at the papers that lay in front of him.

I look at him, "Huh?" I ask.

Donovan starts laughing. "You know, you zone out a lot." He says.

I giggle. "Yeah, it's one of my many talents. Very useful when I want to tune out something or someone." I say, smirking.

"Oh, so you don't wanna listen to me?" He asks, smirking back.

"No, no no." I say, smiling. "I do, it's just sometimes I can't help it when I zone out." I say softly.

He nods his head. "Oh, alright. Well, it's okay. Everyone does that." He replies, cooly.

I smile and look at him, then look down at the papers in front of me. "Well, I'm ready to listen to you explain again." I giggle.

"Okay" he says, grinning. "So basically, we just have to dissect a chicken. We are graded on the time it takes to do it and the precision we have as well. So we can't mess this up. If we cut something we shouldn't, we could kill it." He says.

I narrow my eyes at him, "But the chicken is already dead." I say.

"Yeah, it is but we are to act like we were doing surgery on the chicken." He chuckles.

I nod my head, understanding now. "Okay then." I smile.

"Alright." He smirks.

So we start working on our project. After a few minutes, Donovan breaks the silence. "So are you and Tobias a thing?" He questions.

"Ah, no." I speak softly. Just thinking of Tobias makes my heart begin to race.

"It seemed like you two were a thing at the kreamy freeze." He replies coldly. His voice seemed more distant now, as if he was upset or maybe jealous.

I look at him, "He thinks that I'm his, but I'm not." I say.

Donovan nods his head. "I see." His voice is less edgy than it was. I smile, "So no worries, honestly. I'm not letting Tobias control me." I say, putting my hand on his arm, squeezing it.
