"Tell anyone what I'm about to tell you and you're a dead man, got it?"
Castiel got got nervous and could feel his palms getting sweaty, (his knees weak, his arms heavy! Vomit on his sweater already, AMARAS SPAGHETTI!!) (what the hell is wrong with me?😂)
"Y-yeah. I... I got it."
Castiel sat back down onto the table and patted the spot beside him, gesturing for Dean to sit down.
Dean sat down on the spot and looked up at the sky, trying to stop his tears from falling down."My dad... I tried to tell them once, but my dad wouldn't have any of it. He had been drinking that day and gave me a black eye an a couple blows to the ribs. I took my little brother and moved in with my uncle Bobby and aunt Ellen, the librarian, and my cousin Jo, even thought she's off to college now. I haven't talked to my dad since, but me and my mom still talk on the phone on weekends. She wants me to come back, but I refuse to. I can't stay somewhere I'm not accepted at. I only told Sammy that we got into a fight, not the whole 'I'm gay and he's a homophobic bastard' thing."
Castiel looked at the ground the entire time, not making eye contact once. But once Dean was done talking, he could feel his crying eyes burning into him. Castiel took a silent gulp and looked at Dean.
Holy... wow. Even when he's crying, he's beautiful. Woah! No no no! No! Don't think about that!
"Wait, Dean, why are you telling me this?"Dean sniffles a couple times and wiped his eyes.
"Because you're only major problem is trying to pass algebra while mine is trying to make sure that someone beating my ass doesn't happen again. People don't deserve that."Castiel sat there, barely even breathing before he finally let out a little whisper.
"Algebra isn't my only problem."
Dean looked at Castiel trying to make sense of what he said.
"What? What was that, I couldn't hear you."
Castiel looked up staring straight at the parking lot.
"I said, algebra isn't my biggest problem."
Dean checked the time on his phone and sighed a little.
"Well, we have 15 minutes left of class, I got time. Tell me.""Well, okay I guess. Let's see...
Well, my brother, Raphael, likes to call me 'greedy' when it comes to people because I like girls, but I like guys. If a dude is hot, imma go for it! I'm not gonna let a fine piece of ass get away!"
They both chuckled at that last part. Castiel was just trying to lighten up the mood.
"I never did know who my mother was, but either she left because of my dad's semi failed writing career, or he started his semi failed writing career because she left. Either way, my dad likes to keep to himself, Raphael is off at Harvard, and my friends are the only people I have. Charlie is a badass, but she's also very sweet. Garth is the reason we all smile most days, and Gabriel has an endless supply of candy like how the hell does he get all of that? And also crazy girl Meg. She liked me once in middle school, but I just wanted to be friends and she hasn't let go of me since. Sometimes she'll say some things like 'Maybe if you'd stop trying to be a, quote-on-quote, queer,' which I love being by the way, 'I'd give her a shot.' But she's insane! Why would I give her a shot? But yeah. My problems may not be as bad or major as yours, but I have others than algebra."Dean nodded his head in agreement, looking around.
"I guess you're right."
They both sat there in silence, looking at the sky, until Castiel broke the silence saying
"I'm ready to go back to class now."
"Well, lets go."They walked through the double doors and walked down the hall before hearing a teacher say "STOP".
Dean didn't know what to do, he had never been told to stop something by a teacher before, he panicked and froze.
"Dean, lets go!"
"What?"
"I said," he grabbed Dean's hand, taking a running start
"lets go!"
And they were running down the halls, beating the teacher by a mile, they lost her around the 3rd corner of the hall, bursting through Mr. Crowley's classroom, both heavily breathing. With all eyes on them, and only 5 minutes to spare, Crowley came up to both of them, with the smell of smoke on Castiel and the shortness of breath in both of them, he knew they did more than convince each other to come back to class.
"You two, detention, after school, library. Don't skip it or you're suspended."They both wanted to fall on the floor and groan.
"Yes sir"
They said in unison. They both sat down at their seats, packing their stuff up since they were basically out of class by then.
When the bell rung and they were all walking out, Dean caught up to Castiel and told him he could give him a ride home to his house and he could tutor him there.
"Uncle Bobby and Aunt Ellen are always looking for people to stay over, they wouldn't mind."
"Sure, why not? It's not like I have anything better to do."
"Alright. I'll give you a ride after we finish detention."
"Alright, see you then. Bye."
"Bye."
And they headed their separate ways until the end of the day, where the real fun begins.
