It had been nearly a month after the incident. Voltron couldn't form without Blue, and there was still no sign of Lance's body. Keith felt bile rising up in his throat at the mere thought of Lance's death, although he still hoped that the paladin was alive and well. Keith had decided to go check out Blue's old boarding deck. Keith sighed and found a seat, noticing how surprisingly clean it was in there.
Normally, Keith would come in here to just . . . talk. He still remembered that fateful day, one month ago, so vividly. The images were seared into his mind, the images of the ion cannon, the metal scraps floating around uselessly in space. Keith chuckled sadly, casting occasional glances across the room. Today, he was almost completely silent, except to deny a snack from Allura and the others when they would come by to check up on him. After a few hours, he released a soft sigh, muttering his usual goodbye to the room, "Bye, Blue and Lance. I love you guys, and I'll come by again tomorrow."
As he turned his back to the room and reached for the door to exit the area, the muffled sound of somebody bumping into something made Keith whirl around to scan the room again, noticing a large creature looming over him the moment he turned to face the boarding deck. Keith froze in terror before he recognized the beast.
After a moment of taking in the animal's features, he smiled at it, sadness making a subtle appearance in his voice as he addressed the creature. "Blue? How- why- what? How are you here, girl? I- I clearly saw you--" Keith cut off as he tried to give Blue a pat on the paw, his hand seemingly going right through it. He abruptly pulled back his hand, staring at it in utter defeat. "Ah, I see . . . a mere hallucination. I guess I've really gone insane from the incident, haven't I?"
A/N; okay so, this was the only chapter i have fully prepared, so updates will be a bit slower, as i have to now write the rest of chapters one at a time ;;
