"WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU!?" Shouted my mom.

"I'm sorry I had to WORK! Someone has to support this family!" My dad retaliated, throwing one of my mom's wine glasses at the hardwood floor.

"You know full well I'm the only one doing anything for this so- called family!" My mom's face was bright red, waiting for another attack.

"Well fine! Let's see how you do on your own then Rachel! I'm done with your bullshit and mind games!" My dad shouted back, sweeping two more wine glasses onto the floor, then he grabbed his keys and walked out, away from his eight year old son, his five year old daughter and his two year old twins.

I've been waiting for this day for a while, unfortunately. My parents are always fighting like this at night when they think we're asleep, little do they know we are all awake and listening, waiting for them to talk to us, to tell us what's going on. But no. My mom told us "daddy" is away on a business trip. She lied to my face and then forgot about me.
