Can't Be Friends

Chapter 7

DAMIAN'S POV

The bell rang and I sat down in my chair. I still can't believe Jon sat next to Hunter Blue instead of me. Hunter keeps flirting I don't know what's worse Hunters flirting or Jon not even realizing that Hunter wants him. If Hunter doesn't shut up I will cut his head off I am not going to let him poison Jon with his stupidity.

I was spacing out when someone came up behind me and said "Damian you do realize class is over right?" I turned around and saw Jon.

"Be careful Jon." I said.

"Why should I be careful?" He asked

"There is something weird about that Hunter kid so be careful." I said

"Damian Wayne are you actually worried about me that's so sweet." He teased

"I only care because I need a punching bag." I said

"Race you to class." He said trying to change the subject. We started running

"You should just give up we both know I will win." I said running even faster. I wasn't looking where I was running and I ran into a girl. "You ok?" I asked even though I couldn't care less

"Yeah but you should be more careful by the way my name is Sam." She said.

"I am Damian." I said.

"I know." She said.

"I am so sorry but I have to go." I said.

"Do you want to hang out sometime?" she asked.

"Sure why not." I said. Jon isn't the only one who can make friends and perhaps it will make him jealous or something. I started to walk to class and when I got into the classroom I was late.

"Mr Wayne I am so glad you decided to show up." She said

"Show me respect or my dad will have you fired." I said

"Your father can't do anything Mr Wayne." She said

"I wouldn't be so sure." I said and sat down.

JON'S POV

The whole drive back to the manor from school Damian didn't say a word he only sat there frowning. "You okay Damian?" I asked as we got out of the car.

"I'm fine." He said

"Us farmers have a thing for mind reading and You're not fine." I said jokingly

"Just shut up Jon." He said. What's his problem? Oh I see he feels left out because I have been hanging out with Hunter.

"Damian just because I am hanging out with Hunter doesn't mean I don't want to hang out with you." I said

"Jon you don't get it do you? I-I..." he said stuttering which was weird what is going on with him.

"You what?" I asked

"Just forget it Jon." He said

"No tell me what's wrong." I said

"Just leave me alone!" He yelled and ran to his room. I went to Kon's room and knocked.

"Come in." He said

"I need advice." I said as I entered his room.

"Advice about what?" He asked

"Advice about Damian." I said

"Tell me what's going on." He said

"I have been hanging out with this kid named Hunter and ever since he has been acting weird." I said and Kon laughs

"Don't you get it he is jealous." He said

"Why would he be jealous?" I asked

"Jon he has a crush on you and thinks Hunter wants you too." He said. Damian liking me that's crazy right?
