The Marauders Oneshots {HP}

Studying (James Potter)

 
   "Hey, Hey (Y/N). Look!" You look up and see your insufferable, yet adorable boyfriend with his eyes crossed and hands next to his head as if they were antlers. The two of you had met in the library and were supposed to be revising for your upcoming Charms exam, but James has so far done everything in his power to do anything but that.

"You know if you put in half the effort into studying as you did messing about maybe you could be number one in our class" you say reaching over to boop his nose causing him to twitch slightly. This prompted him to slide back in his chair and let out a dramatic groan.

You roll your eyes and go back to reading the text in front of you, or at least you try to. It's not long before the black haired boy was once again pining for your attention, only this time by tossing a crumpled up piece of parchment that bounced from your forehead to the table.

As you give him a glare for once again distracting you from your studies he quickly looks at the parchment then back to you making it known he wants you to open it up. As you do you notice his familiar messy handwriting that's been slightly smudged due to James' obvious impatience with the ink.

Roses are Red
Violets are great
Can we please ditch the studying and go on a date

"James..." he flashes you the sweetest puppy eyes he could, "I mean, at least it rhymed this time."

"I'm sorry but I have to think of these from the top of my head, and last I checked you never wrote me any poems so... take that."

"If I say yes," you tried to give him a serious look but it disappeared as you saw the joy spread across his face, "will you actually let me study next time?"

"Marauder's Honour" he said with a smile and a wink. As you gathered your things and stood from your spot you heard one last quip. "Just as long as you wear that dress I love so much."

"Don't push it, Potter." He smiles as he drapes his arm over your shoulders leaving a small peck on your cheek as the two of you walk out of the library.
