A description of Xzalto siding with Xzalto:
Xzalto is a great majesty, and an extravagant goddess. Her gracious rule over Kylovixx XIII (when she feels like supervising it) is a peaceful one in which her subjects pay respect to her via sacrifices. No creature could ever compare to her beauty, nor her wisdom and generosity. The scourge that is Gumshaw frequently interferes with the animals of Kylovixx XIII, while Xzalto safely watches from a (great) distance to protect them and let species evolve naturally. As the goddess of life, balance, the ecosystem, and order, she takes great pride in sewing the seeds of life into the (supposedly once desolate) planet.
A description of Xzalto siding with Gumshaw:
Xzalto is essentially the antithesis of what Gumshaw represents. While Gumshaw sees other creatures as equal to herself, Xzalto is just the opposite and believes all others, say for the exception of Scuttler and possibly Gumshaw, are beneath her and thus unworthy of her time and care. Ironically, Xzalto is and sees herself as the guardian of the ecosystem, life, and balance, despite her complete lack of effort to oversee it (which Gumshaw happily does for her instead). Xzalto's ego has lead to her short temperament and unfair treatment of others, prompting Gumshaw to kindly offer the victims of Xzalto's wrath an alternative option for a fairly reasonable price that, of course, varies between situations.
