John and Thomas were at the front desk chatting with a secretary when they say a disheveled Alex rush through the door.

"Alexander!" John exclaimed. He ran up to him and hugged him. John was just like that. Kind. Plus, John could be worried about people, making him kind of protective. "Where were you?"

"Relax, I wasn't feeling well, so I stayed home a bit longer," responded Alex. Then something came to him. "Washington isn't mad, IS HE?" Alex said, alarmed.

"No, no. Not at all! We were just worried because you're always here, no matter what. Even Thomas was worried."

Alexander sheepishly smiled. "You were worried about me?" Alex felt good about himself knowing that people had his back and cared for him. Even Thomas. Alex thought he hated him.

"Well, yeah, Hamilton. When someone who shows up to work, does not show up, you get frightened."

Alex began teasing, "You care about me!!!"

Thomas played it off. "Yeah, whatever, you ass, now I need your help with some papers. It'll take about 30 minutes."

"I'm all yours," Alex winked.

The screaming no doubt was coming from Thomas' office. Alex and Thomas were in there; a disaster was bound to happen.

"Well, Jefferson, it would make more sense for you to make negotiations with office A, for even though it is more of a stretch and would be more difficult to pull off, office A is essential, and if other offices see that office A agreed with your plan, they are more likely to agree to join the plan," Alex explained.

"That... is actually a good idea," Thomas admitted.

Alex laughed, "I'm full of them."

"But I may need help rewriting this plan, for if I'm aiming for office A, I'll need to go in with a bang," Thomas thought allowed.

"Well, if anyone were to be the most qualified to rewrite a plan and make it into a spectacular presentation it's you," Alex said while walking out of Jefferson's office.

"Why, you little— wait, did you just compliment me?" Jefferson questioned.

By the time Thomas finished his question, Alex was already gone.

3:00 P.M. came sooner than later, and Alex, John, Hercules, and Lafayette all met up at there usual table in the break room.

"Alexander, mon ami, where were you this morning? You were missed."

"Yeah, no where to be found, man," Hercules added.

"Wasn't feeling too great, so I came I a little late. Honestly, guys, it's no big deal."

Hercules glanced at Lafayette. "... it kind of is when the biggest workaholic stays home from work when they were a 'little' under the weather."

"Right?!?" exclaimed John.

"Guys, I am fine," Alex reassured them one last time. "Can we change the subject. Is there something else BESIDES my absence we can talk about?"
