Drift POV
We finally got out of the car, I grabbed Bonesy and John opened up the doors to a mansion near Lonely Lodge and the Racetrack. I remember I went to the racetrack once with one of my friends, Britey, and one of her friends. We had a crazy instructor with tattoo's all over her arms and on her neck! My thoughts were interrupted by John who chuckled "What? Never seen a rich mans home?" John opened up the door and I stepped inside. It was very, very, VERY big. "Did you expect a shed? Were hero's, not bums." John laughed, he had made a joke, something he had never often done. We weren't greeted by anyone and I was a bit confused. I was about to ask where the super cool hero's were at but I guess John saw I was confused and said, "the rest of the gang is busy currently." John showed me to a particularly boring room. It had a bed in the left corner, a desk with a lamp a pen and some paper, ect. And a boring gray rug in the middle. John heavily sighed and said he would inform the others that there was a new recruit. I decided to write a letter to my mom to let her know I was fine in the meanwhile.
1 Hour Later
I heard a knock on my door about an hour later while I was licking the seal. I opened the door to see a fairly attractive young woman. She had red hair and a questionably short dress. "Hi i'm Valor..." She said holding out her hand for me to shake. Her voice screamed at me "Hey boo! I'm a thot! ;)" My thoughts scattered and I shook her hand. She leaned up against the door and bit her bottom lip.
OH HELL NO BOO
"So... You're Drift, right?" She asked crossing her arms. "Uhm... Yeah." "Well i'm Valor". "Right, nice to meet you." She looked over my whole body and I started to feel uncomfortable. Was she... No.. Nope, she just wants to get a good look at me, right?! "Are you finished?" I asked smirking. WAIT WAS I FLIRTING AAAAAAAA "Oh! I'm sorry... She stepped a little closer to me. She was a little taller than me which made me embarrassed. I shifted away uncomfortably. I guess she could tell I was uncomfortable because she smirked and asked, "what's wrong?" Nothing... I muttered. Suddenly my prayers were answered. My hero. C A R B I D E . "Sorry Drift, is Valor causing you trouble?" I decided to be polite and say "no sir." But to be honest she was really distracting. Valor rolled her eyes and sashayed away. If Snorkel were here right now she'd probably spit some sarcastic comment at Valor like, "Way to show maturity", or, "why you walking like that? You get into a car crash boo?" My heart ached, Snorkel Ops. I missed her, I missed everyone in Salty Springs. I liked the green grass and trees, and how it smelled like sandwiches and nature. I mean everyone does have picnics here and you can't have a picnic without sandwiches. Here it was strange. It smelled different, unfamiliar. "Sorry about her..." He sighed. "Sometimes she can be a nuisance." "It really is fine..." I replied with, though I was secretly hoping that it would never happen again. I totally forgot I was talking to Carbide! I should say something like, "it's a pleasure to meet you", or "i'm a big fan sir." But the only thing I managed to cough up was a squeaky whisper-like "hi..." He laughed and told me not to worry that I would soon feel comfortable here. As he left I lay down in my bed. I thought about things, mostly about if I should go back, or send that letter, and if I do ever see Snorkel again should I confess to her? A lot of things ran through my mind. I decided I would help out with the main deal currently, Omega, and then return to Salty. I soon fell asleep.
Sorry this one had to be ended so quickly I need to take a shower lol.
Tune in for the next chapter soon...
