You have my attention

I awoke to the sound of Sox crying which meant it was probably time to take him out to potty. Sox is our new puppy and let me just tell you that if you're even considering adopting a puppy make sure you have hardwood floors. Suddenly my bedroom door swings open and my mother appears in the doorway.

"Natalie, you're father and I are headed out for the afternoon. We will be home before 7".

I quickly tell her Okay and kiss her goodbye. It's pretty typical for my mom and dad to leave me at home alone, which is actually surprising due to the fact that when I was younger they couldn't leave me in a room by myself. It wasn't because I got into trouble exactly, it was more of the fact that I wouldn't LET them leave me in a room by myself. Things have changed though and when I finally turned fifteen, I grew a pair and sucked it up.

I headed up the few stairs that led into the dining room with Sox in my arms to insure he wouldn't let loose on the carpet again. After he 'excreted' should I say, I plopped down on the couch and turned on the television to relax and watch non other than Supernatural. It's only my favorite show in the universe so I try to start my days with an episode or so.

About half way through I realized that I hadn't checked any of of my social media and picked up my phone to quickly scroll through pointless Twitter updates. It was then that something caught my eye. It was a comment from a girl named Krista Roberts. She had responded to a post I had put up on my Thumb, another social media app. I click on the conversation and read her response then hastily type one back. Who was this girl and why did I get the feeling she was someone I should pay attention too?
