It was just before noon when I heard my phone buzz. Checking it, I realized that I had actually gotten a response to one of my comments. It was from Natalie. I didn't know her very well but I did happen to know that I wanted to talk to her. She seemed pretty cool from what I could tell and I had a clue that she might even like girls. I think that's what drew me to her initially. The possibility to meet someone like me. I hadn't been out but maybe a year but I was ready to start talking to people about it. I respond with a simple, yet not too simple as to end the conversation, answer.
"Yes, are you?"
Sent. Good lord did I actually say that? What if she didn't mean what I thought she meant. What if she doesn't want to talk? My questions are soon answered though when a new message pops up on my screen. It's from her. I click on the message to open the conversation.
