Walking is the most horrible way to get around. Even though you love being outdoors, your feet are killing you.

For some stupid reason, you decided to walk home from work instead of calling Jimin to pick you up. He said he was going to be a bit late, so that's why you didn't call him. Either way, you'd end up getting home first.

You sigh as you switch your bag from your left arm to your right, the weight making you slouch, the hot weather not helping.

You walk by a park and see an empty bench, your legs practically begging you to take a break.

Taking a long breath, you groan in exhaustion when you realize you still have a long way to go. You stand up and get ready to walk again when a black car drives next to you.

The windows are of a dark tint, so the only thing you could see was the barely visible silhouette of the person behind the wheel.

But before you could ignore the car and continue your walk, the dark window started to slowly roll down, revealing a smiling Chanyeol.

"Need a ride?"

You let out a chuckle as you made your way to the other side of the car and into the passenger seat. "You're a life saver, I was literally dying out there."

He simply responded with a small laugh and drove off.

"Thanks for the ride, Chanyeol, I owe you one." You tell him as you're both at the top of the staircase, ready to go your own ways.

"You can buy me coffee next week?"

"Deal." You laugh.

You stare at each other as the awkward tension grows. "Well, I have to go now..."

Chanyeol let's out a soft laugh. "Okay, Y/N, I'll see you next week." And with that, you watch him as he walks away and enters the door.

You keep staring at the door, letting a small smile creep up your face as you also turn around and open your own door.

As you enter, you realize that the door was unlocked. Was Jimin home?

The first thing you see when you walk in is a small post-it note on your fridge. You walk up to it, taking it in your hands as you read it.

Your eyebrows join in confusion.

'Meet me at the café at seven.'

Why would he want to meet? He said he was working late again so wouldn't he have told you?

It had been so long since you and Jimin have had quality husband and wife time. Ever since he got a promotion, working at the office was basically his first priority. Jimin only came home at night, just to shower and go to sleep, then restarting again in the morning.

The fact that he wanted to spend time with you was exiting, leaving you to get ready immediately even though this 'date' was hours away.

You weren't a elegant person, so you didn't wear much makeup or put on a really fancy dress. It was just simple, the way you liked it.

Leaving you apartment and walking towards the café, your heart beat excitedly. But little did you know that the worst was about to come.
