Earlier I explained why this is the time of year to get things checked off our to do lists and create a stress free environment! This also the perfect season for arts and crafts! The world around us right now is a beautiful display of art. Its time to tap into our creativity as the leaves around turn into beautiful shades of fire.
Here is a few craft ideas below that are puuurfect for the season!
Gift Bow Headbands:
The problem with having a collection of cat ear headbands and wearing them as often as I do, is that the ears began to wear a little. So I was looking through a craft bin for a hot glue gun and I found an orange gift bow. Maybe it was the pumpkin orange of the bow, or all the cat headbands on the table but I thought this bow would make a beautiful headband! Personally, I didn't want to take away too much from the ears so I just used your generic, gold glittered head band. Although any head band works!
You then glue the gift bow on the side but a bit above your ears. Again, anything works! you can glue it anywhere. But I found that if you glue it in a side place, it looks like a rose. (Note, that this bow is size large.) I paired the gold headband with the orange gift bow because I wanted to keep a pumpkin spice feel. But of course Black works too for a Halloween Spirit!
Once its dried onto your headband, if you want to spice up your gift bow, you can use orange glue-on gems, or pumpkin jewelry charms for the middle! Also painting on vines and a few leaves in a soft green and then going over with a white and gold glitter paint makes a beautiful pumpkin, autumn bow too! You can paint a gold shine over the bow to match the glitter gold of the headband structure and to add more flare of spice!
If you have the gift bow on a black glitter band (I Glitterfy everything!) you can glue on frays of black lace on edges of the bow to bring out the black of the band. (purple gift bows would be stunning as well!) Lace is a timeless accent to anything, and brings out the allure and more Gothic beauty of Halloween! I would then cut the stem off a fake black rose and glue the flower head in the center of the gift bow. It accentuates the black lace beautifully. I might glue black gems on on the rose head, and the head band itself, and you have a slightly Gothic feel, and beautiful headband no one else will have!
If you don't want to do headbands with the gift bow, and just the roses or gems or jewelry charms, or chains, I will list more ideas on requests! Remember, you are making this for you! Make something you will love to wear!
If any one wants any other ideas or has other ideas of there own to spice up the gift bow or other head band requests let me know in the comments below!
Here are some other craft ideas that are easy and puuuurfect for the season!
Midsummer Night Dream Masks: Wanting to make use of those beautiful leaves before there buried beneath snow? (after you've jumped in them of course!) then take a moment to collect some leaves off the ground to make a mask! vibrant shades work best. Once you have your leaves, put glue glaze over them so they are less likely to turn brittle! I love these masks because they make you look like fall fairies!
Okay My Sweeties! One thing you should know about me is I LIVE for Pinterest! I center my social media life on scrolling through Pinterest, and well you get the idea! It's my haven for creativity. and I came across the best craft ever! Sewing your own pumpkins! Halloween may be gone but fall isn't! And instead of carving pumpkins, sew your own to decorate! my favorite are the stuffed ones with quilt work patches on! it works both as a pillow and just an adorable couch decor!
More pumpkins: If your as pumpkin cozy as I am you still have some on your doorstep and if you didn't carve them, your wondering what to do with them! Paint them and put them in your room! you can paint inspirational quotes on them, flower designs, etc! there are so many amazing ways you can paint them and have them around your room for cute decor!
Pumpkin Pancakes! Honestly this is my favorite! if you want the recipe I'll add that in! You shape them and give them a face and everything for a jack'olantern look too! But pumpkin pancakes are the best! pumpkin cookie cutters are better for this too!
This also brings me to Bread Monsters! there is so much you can make with dough! it's like play dough! time to get creative with your food! It tastes puuurfect and is so fun to look at too!
For part too I'll post up how to make pumpkin fairy houses! Be safe and happy sweeties!
