CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT

Danté's POV

My heart has stopped at this moment. I can see! It feels surreal that I'm staring into the eyes of my fiancée. Audra's eyes. They're a bright brown that seen to draw all of the light around us into them. Her body is round and has a milk chocolate coloring. She's absolutely stunning. I can do nothing but cry.

How in the fuck did I almost let her slip away?!

"Audra..." I'm not one to get caught up on words, but it's the only thing I can say. When I see her, I see an angel standing before. I can imagine her in a beautiful wedding dress, us finally making love for the first time, her being swollen with my many children, actually being able to see them grow up. I can finally see!

I get up and run to Audra. I barely notice the people around me. All I can do is focus on her. When she wraps her arms around me, it's like the heavens have opened up. It's unlike anything I've ever felt. Being in love this Audra was something new, but this intensifies everything. When I say I cannot live without, I'm serious. True love.

"How do you feel?" She asks me.

"Elated. You don't even understand how happy I am. It's unreal." She kisses me and holds my face close to hers. We're eye to eye. Emotion floods through windows of her soul directly into mine. All I can see is love and tenderness.

"Té it is real. Sit down, I'll get you something to drink then I'll get the babies." I nod and my mind races to the thought of how the babies will look like? Whenever they're near, my life and my heart feel full and complete. I'd protect them with my life and would seriously do anything for them.

I turn around and greet everyone. Everything is so much more vivid than I remember and it's refreshing to be able to a face with the voices.

"Té?" I hear Audra's voice and quickly turn around.

My babies. I can finally see my babies! They're so much more beautiful than I could even imagine. I take the one with the lighter skin first. He's like a boy version of Audra.

His hair is tightly curled and coiled like hers, he has those same brown eyes, and the way his lips part are identical to her as well. Yes, I was staring that much at Audra. But if you had even a tenth of the feeling I have for Audra, you'd look at her as much as possible.

"That's Lenzo" Alex says somewhere off in the distance. Lenzo...Lenzo Lombardi. Absolutely perfect.

"Daddy loves you Lenny" that's a perfect nickname. My angel buries his body into my chest and yawns. Guess he's had enough excitement for one day. Handing him off to Audra, Mary puts Damien in my hands.

Damien has slightly loose curls and dark eyes. Like super dark. He gives me a strange look then cries loudly. Like he's being murdered type of screaming. Then a familiar scent hits me: he pooped and needs to be changed.

"I got this" I tell Audra and manage to find the nursery. The walls are light green with monkey and giraffe accents. It reminds me of what my brother and sister had.

'Thank you for looking over me. Thank you God for keeping me safe and bringing Audra and the babies in my life. And thank you Leo for providing me with Lenzo and Damien.' I say wholeheartedly. If the difficulties we faced didn't happen, I would've never had the ability to truly appreciate Audra. I change Damien with no problem. He's so cute.

I find the walk-in linen closet to make sure everything of mine is in order. Damien seems to like what he sees as well.

"That's for later" I tell him. He returns a toothless grin and I know that he's gonna be my partner in crime for life.
