Fix You - Harry Styles Sister Fanfic

Chapter Seventeen.

Ellie POV

So my mum just "decided" to let me go to the party, even though she is headed to Northern Ireland for a friends wedding. It was really weird for her to suddenly give me 100% trust, but I would be crazy to question it. I told Abby that I could go and she was so excited, if only it wasn't a week away. 

[one week later.]

Yesterday mum left to go to Ireland and it took her forever to leave. She just kept "stressing" the rules that I was to obey. Even though it wasn't the first time I have been home alone for a while, its the first time I will be going out and doing things late at night without someone home to get me. She told me that her best friend would be checking in on me and then mentioned that Harry would too. I was confused but didn't give it a second thought after she left. 

Abby told me that even though it was a Halloween party that she wasn't going to get dressed up. She said it was more like a casual party but people were going to dress up in the typical slutty cat or school girl costumes. I suggested we "dress up" as greasers and she loved that. 

I pulled on my boyfriend jeans, grabbed my white v-neck short sleeve shirt, my jean jacket and beat up high top original converse. I straightened my h air and put on some mascara and eyeliner before texting Abby telling her I was ready. She replied saying she was already walking to my house. 

The doorbell rang no more than a minute later and I opened it up seeing Abby looking like my mirror. I locked the door and we started walking to her cousins house, who lives about six blocks away. it was a cold night but I sucked it up and didn't complain.  

"Damn El, Shawn is going to lose himself when he sees you." She said leaning back to look at my whole body as we walked. I chuckled at her and shoved her a little. 

"So what's the deal with you and Shawn anyway?" I just shrugged. We went out on a date and thats pretty much it, I didn't know if we were together or not, he didn't really ask me to be his girlfriend. "I don't know, we haven't confirmed anything." I said and shrugged again. 

"What about you?" I asked and she gasped. "No, there has been no boys taking a liking to me, as usual." she said, putting her hands in her pockets. 

"Tonight that will change, I guarantee it!" I said,  and she looked to me and smiled. 

We finished the walk in silence but soon arrived at the obvious party location. I have to admit, my bed was looking so much better, as we walked inside and smelt all the alcohol and smoke filling the room. Abby told me she was going to find her cousin and we linked arms weaving thought the house looking for Robby. 

After I spotted him and we started towards him, someone yanked on my other arm causing me to let go of Abby's hand. I panicked until I turned to face the person and made eye contact with their chest. I slowly looked up but finally relaxed when I saw that it was only Shawn. 

I immediately hugged him, glad that he wasn't some random drunk guy.

"I've missed you Ellie!" he said, rubbing my back. I smiled pulling away from him and looking up to him. He hasn't changed since I saw him last, except maybe a haircut or two. He probably had gotten taller too but that was about it.

"Come on lets go find Abby!" I said grabbing his hand and walking around looking for her. We couldn't talk because the music was so loud so we just weaved through that room, Shawn using his height as an advantage to look over almost everyone.

Suddenly he stopped walking pulling me back and I leaned in to ask him why but he started talking first. "She's with a guy."

We have now been here for almost three hours and Abby has disappeared again, having consumed a good amount of alcohol herself. I hadn't had enough to make me drunk, just enough to take an edge off. 

Shawn had, had about two beers but that was it. We had danced a little but now I was getting concerned as to how and when I was going to be able to leave. I didn't want to leave Abby but at the same time she is at her cousins house, so its family. Shawn wanted to leave soon and I was so confused on what to do. 

"Shawn can we at least find Abby before we go?" I asked as he leaned down to hear what I was saying. He nodded which I barely caught in the darkness but then once again we were making our way through the now drunk crowd. 

"She's still with that one guy." Shawn said, but I pulled him over to her anyway. "Abby! Shawn and I are going to leave, are you alright?" I asked. She swayed but said yes. "You and Shawn go and have fun! WOO!" she said slurring before turning back to the equally drunk guy. 

God I hope she doesn't do anything stupid.

an; wow. I haven't been on here in so long, and I'm so sorry for that. I just lost touch with people on here and then didn't feel like writing anymore and I had finals with school and just a whole lot was going on and I felt overwhelmed. I know this chapter is short and probably not what anyone expected but I hope that I didn't lose too many readers. If I did I understand why 100% because I would hate waiting for an update for so long. I really want to get back to having a solid amount of reads, comments and votes for every chapter again. I understand if it takes a few updates though to get back to my old audiance.
