Harry's POV:
I couldn't believe that I was kissing her. Sierra. My Sierra. My best friend.
Her lips were softer than I remembered, maybe that's because I hadn't kissed her in so long. Her kiss was sweet and gentle, just like before. The way she relaxed in my arms, I loved that feeling.
My hand had moved up to cup her face, my thumb gently brushing against her cheek. Our kiss ended, I bit at my lip, fighting a smile, as she turned around and looked into my eyes.
"What?" I smirked.
"Nothing," she smiled, turning to look out over the small yard again, noticing the storm clouds over head. "I can't wait 'til winter,"
"Why, so you can whine about how cold you are and how much you hate snow, like you always do?"
Sierra laughed. "I do hate snow,"
"I know, I hear it every winter,"
"But, I hate the summer," she replied with a laugh.
"Oh jesus," I shook my head with a chuckle. "There's the Sierra I know, never satisfied."
"I love winter...cause it means the holidays are here," she finished.
"Oh, so it's all about presents to you, huh?" I teased.
Sierra giggled. "Presents are nice. But...I just love the smell of fall, the leaves falling, the cider cooking on the stove. Pumpkins everywhere,"
"Mmm..pumpkin pie,"
Sierra nodded. "Then Christmas, the snow men, the carolers, the tree, all the decorations, all the presents,"
"Presents,"
"Shutup," she gave me a death glare. "There's nothing better than a Christmas tree. Decorating it is the best thing in the world, I love putting ornaments on the tree,""The presents under it," I chuckled.
"That's not the best part," she turned to look at me. "For the last two years, the holidays have been the only time that I've really been able to spend any time with you, Harry,"
I swallowed, knowing that I couldn't argue with her about that. It was true. The boys and I had been so busy for the past two years, that the only time I was able to spend a good chunk of time at home was the holiday season. Of course, I could get a couple weeks here and there, but atleast I was able to spend a solid 2-3 months at home during the holidays."I'm sorry,"
"Don't you dare," she scolded. "Don't ever apologize for following your dreams, Harold,"
I nodded, not sure of what exactly she was looking for me to say. "No matter where I am or how long I'm gone, you're always on my mind," I said, reassuringly looking into her eyes.
Sierra smiled and softly re-claimed my lips. Her arms looped around my neck, pulling me tighter against her chest.
There was a crack of thunder above our heads and rain began to fall around us, but neither of us noticed. We were too caught up in the moment that had captured both of us.
A few years before, after we had claimed each other's virginity, both of us had set boundaries with each other, always swearing to be nothing more than the closest of friends. The two of us had always been scared of something going too far and it ruining our friendship.
Sierra moaned against my lips, feeling my tongue snake into her mouth, tangling with hers.
A loud snap of thunder cracked above our heads, causing us both to jump and pull away from each other.
