Sunniva's POV Father left the hut to talk with the men of the village who informed him of the Lords return from Scotland. Despite the threat that my father made of me marrying Sir Matthew, I knew Loki would never allow it. I left the village in a frenzy making my way to the cabin. 152 days, 5 long aching months without the love of my life and today is the day where I was to be reunited with him. I reach the cabin quickly to find Loki and Thor sitting outside. "Loki" I cheer running closer to him
Loki jumps up smiling madly "SUNNIVA" he booms happily. I run into his embrace, he picks me up spinning me around. "I've missed you" he breaths in my hair. He lets me down looking at me for what seemed like forever, then cups my face kissing me passionately. I jump a little when Thor clears his throat chuckling slightly "I will.. uh.. just leave you two.. to reunite.. good to see you again my Lady." With that Thor walks inside the cabin as Loki and I erupt in a fit of laughter.
My excitement cease as I remember the events that took place with my fathers threats before Loki arrived. Immediately Loki recognizes something isn't right, "come my darling and tell me what has got you so worried." I follow him and sit down beside him. I look to him with sad eyes "not what has me worried... it's what I fear." "you shall not fear anything now that I'm here. Now tell me what is it?" I take deep breath "father is arranging for me to marry a Viking called Sir Matthew." His jaw tightens in anger then relaxes "do you love him?" "What?!" I exclaim "loki you know I love you and only you, I've just heard of this news today. Do not think of the 5 months you were gone I pursued another!" He grabs ahold of my hands "I know love.." "What are we going to do?" I ask "Thor and I talked with your father once about minding his anger with you I'm sure we can talk to him of who you shall marry." He says reassuringly.
"Loki, father knows of you and I now and so do the others. When you and Thor left for Asgard it was difficult to hide it from them." He slumps his shoulders back then straightens when he thought of something. "I have a plan.. act as if nothing is the matter for now, hold off on marrying Sir Matthew and in weeks time when Thor and I are to return to Asgard once more, I shall steal you away and marry you in my realm." He smiles brightly as his own plot confident that it will succeed. I on the other hand held many doubts. What about my family? My home? I love Loki with all my heart and if I could not convince my father to allow me to marry him then I shall run away with him.
I look at Loki nodding my head in approval. He kisses me passionately "now love, go back to the village and when morrow comes as the sun rises on the horizon meet me at our spot."
"Yes my love" I kiss him once before setting off into the woods.
1 MONTH LATER- Midgard/England 992 A.D 3rd PERSON POV Within the month of Loki's return his relationship with Sunniva intensified, they finally made love-it was kept a secret for that it was out of wedlock. Sunniva's magic grew stronger with Loki as her teacher she learned so much of the outside world and what power she holds. Sunniva and her siblings were able to hold off the marriage that her father planned between her and Sir Matthew. Sunniva kept from her family of her plans to run away to Asgard with Loki. Thor who's only set on watching Midgard to report to his father stopped interfering with Loki's relationship. The couple soon fell into their old routine, meeting secretly in their spot practicing magic, telling stories and much more.
